It's best for Amanda, as it is for many people, to lose weight in a less-competitive and less demanding environment. This type of environment is not the best for everyone and many people are very successful in an environment that better suits their physical limitations. You don't have to train the way these people do in order to lose large amounts of weight.

Amanda is a pain in the arse. She thinks she is superior to the other contestants. That's probably why noone likes her.

The reason Amanda didn't endear herself to the other contestants is because she's twice the size of the other women. Despite being fat themselves, the other contestants were prejudiced against her because of her size. That's just the way it is, people like attractive people.

I like Amanda.  I think she did great in her at home weight loss especially considering her arm injury. I think she will make it to her goal weight.

@kangablu1 I don't agree that people didn't like Amanda because of her weight. There have been plenty of really heavy contestants that were well liked by the others because of their positive personalities. I think Amanda just rubs some people the wrong way. I think she is determined enough to keep losing and I wish her well.

Well at least Amanda gets to experience the vacation, so it wasn't a totally waste of time coming back to the show.

Couldn't help noticing that Amanda got a rather poor send off in comparison to others. Only 2 contestants hugged her goodbye. For some reason she never endeared herself to the rest of the team, guess that's why she was voted off twice!

@rashaita, yeah i agree but i think the reason is because he let herself get so titanically large in the first place. i really believe one of the lessons that Aus and the US show have to teach their country's younger generations. you cannot ever let your fitness level get to the point where it is going to cause you to have serious health problems that will prevent you from ever becoming fit again, or possibly even causing your death.

Does anyone else find that this show drags on forever? I mean, it's interesting, but it's such a time investment. Are all the twists really necessary? It's a little overdone, no?

Yes, they spend most of their time stalling to the next commercial break. I fast forward while yawning through most of it, start every episode at the 2 minute mark, etc...the whole season could be distilled down into one ten minute show.

i kno what you mean. it feels like every time they send 1 person home they bring another 2 back, i mean some of these contestants are now on their 3rd/4th life line! there's so many twists and turns i've almost forgotten that bob & nathan are still around. if i was in the final 4 i'd be really pissed off; but tbh tiffany is the only one of them that actually deserves her place there.
