It was probably a bad animation glitch. Although I did find that the creators of the show say Richie is gay for obvious reasons. His being everywhere with him besides just hanging out. Plus also maybe becoming his partner in grime fighting.

@cooldude56g Insects like hornets, bees and such, don't sting without purpose, they sting only if they think they under attack, that means if something moves fast, suddenly or much, or if it's loud. The only things snakes do are hunting, sleeping and sunbathe, they are lazy and don't move much, is there any animal that is slow enough that they can bully it. And the leopard, greedy, voracious, maybe he just killed and consumed a lot of living creatures, without mercy or real need.
