i have heard somewhere that long hair on men symbolises that they have been through difficulties in their life..well,last year i started growing my hair long when i had many problems and i haven't cut since then and i can see the things i've been through,through my journey of growing my hair long..do you agree with that one?

@ItsGrantCasual The Ponytail is a MAJOR turning point in the growing of long hair. I would think that by Dec. you will have added something like 2"+ in length to your hair because it appears to grow at a faster than average rate. LUCKY! :-)
hair's not quite long enough to put up in a ponytail, it stays in for a few seconds but my side bangs arent long enough to stay up when put up in a ponytail
@elechso Forget the wax, gel etc. Let the Awkward Stage do its own thing and let your hair look wild and untamed. Stop all worry about it. There is no way to long hair without passing through this stage and besides, consider all "A work in progress." Just let it grow and wash, shampoo and Condition as I have spoken of. See ALL of my videos for all kinds of tips. Lighten up. It is only hair growing the way it is suppose to. In 2 years all will be settled and you will have great long hair!

@JorksBinqsjon No. Other videos tell what happened and why I ended up losing the hair. If these things had not happened, I would still have just as long or longer hair today. Can't help accidents and then surgery to save my life.

@DylanRedMusic Yes! :-) Just let it grow and grow and gravity will finally make all of the hair fall by itself. Usually takes about 2 years starting from a Buzz Cut, give or take several months in either direction. For the "Frizzies," just try the frizzie gel trick I speak of in one of my earlier videos other than this one.
Im about at the end of the awkward stage and you hit it dead on man. @Lance2s If curly, then that is your hair-type. And long Curly Hair is dynamite gorgeous hair! (It has a mind of its own, but those that hang in there are WELL rewarded! :-)
Alas, the Straightner (if not already) has damaged your hair. There have been more guys than you will ever know who have used Straightners that were going for very long hair, and in the end they fry it beyond repair and end up with a Buzz Cut and start all over again.
@seiya209 Oh, no problem really. A Boars Bristle Brush is the BEST you can use for your hair. And for combs? A Wooden Comb. Hope this helps and please, no worries at all for the mix-up. Sure, I'm game to go anywhere with anybody and funny as it may sound, seem to have no enemies. I get along and never down people.

@TheeLifeOfBob Do what you like. No set rules. Whatever you yourself thinks looks best. I always kept them trimmed along with the beard when I had it.............but that was just me.

@privatePC A trim has nothing to do with growing. ALL growth is from beneath the scalp. There ARE reasons to trim later, just too much to try and write here. Probably somewhere in my something like 25 long hair videos.

And as far as weird looks go, perhaps best not to be watching to "see" if anyone is looking. Just go about your business and ignor. Cannot stop people from looking. I've been growing my hair again since then, and now at the age of 17 it reaches my nipples :)

I'm currently growing my hair have been since, September. But I think it has stopped growing, for like a month the length is just below the top of my jaw bone. How can I get it to grow quicker? I really want hair like yours its brilliant. My hair is driving me crazy
@MrKristoferLi No way to make the hair grow quicker. Genetics determines all of this. 1/2" per month is the average for the majority of people. I can assure you that your hair has not stopped growing, but the whole process takes years. Try as best as possible not to think about it and the time goes by quicker. All the best and don't give up whatever you do.

@justinhasproblems1 Just a guess, but probably 1 perm won't wreck it beyond repair. Do it enough however and it will damage your hair. Hope this helps.
@rick92rr Well, Perms, Straightners and colorings are actually ok IF you are not planning on growing your hair past the base of your neck and are getting regular haircuts, and all of those things do look good! :-) However, if growing for a very long length, these products make it impossible for your hair to last for years and years. This means you can never have healthy very long hair as what has been done has demolished it from being able to grow very long well. Too bad also, no cure.

YOU are in control of how you want your hair, not them. It is YOUR right to choose. The ONLY way others can bother you is if YOU allow them to. @seiya209 Oh, no problem really. A Boars Bristle Brush is the BEST you can use for your hair. And for combs? A Wooden Comb. Hope this helps and please, no worries at all for the mix-up. @TheeLifeOfBob Do what you like. No set rules. Whatever you yourself thinks looks best. I always kept them trimmed along with the beard when I had it.............but that was just me.

Sup.. iv been wanting long hair for about a year now and iv been growing it but iv got wavy hair and its sticking up and it really bothers me. I dont know if later on this will change but I have been straitening it but i dont know if i should do that or not. Give me some advice haha.

@privatePC Please, stop the straighteneing at once. I have made a ton of long hair videos, but the expert on long "Curly" hair advice I now refer to "LongHairLuke." @privatePC A trim has nothing to do with growing. ALL growth is from beneath the scalp. There ARE reasons to trim later, just too much to try and write here. Probably somewhere in my something like 25 long hair videos.

LOl. Finally a youtube video without a stupid comment about men with long hair, ponytails being ugly. Seriously 'out of fashion' long hair looks best on guys and Ponytails are the best way to keep your hair out of your face if you work.

@ChappersLaNoCry Hi and glad you discovered this one of about 25 videos I have done on long hair. Please see #7 in this series for ideas how to deal with the "meddlers." And as far as weird looks go, perhaps best not to be watching to "see" if anyone is looking. Just go about your business and ignor. Cannot stop people from looking. Long hair is the ONLY style that NEVER goes out of fashion. It is what nature intended for us to have. Not mans made-up shears clippers and buzzies. No way man.

First of all, I've seen some of your videos, and I think you're awesome! :)
I'm also growing my hair. I've started to grow my hair when I was about 10 years old. Then, at the age of 13, I got a haircut, and lost all of my hair, which had reached my chest.
I've been growing my hair again since then, and now at the age of 17 it reaches my nipples :)
Just wanted to say that because I'm proud of my hair :)
(And I envy your hair)

Hate to say it, but don't have much of a video recording on my hair. All I have is a whole lot of pictures, were you can see some difference in the length from on picture to another, but thats personal, and nothing for youtube :P

Dude, you are awesome and funny! I like your tips for long hair. I am growing my hair out. My hair is slightly below my ears. It is thick and wavy on the sides. Question, I have Garnier Fructis Shampoo and conditioner and I also have Fructis Style. Are these two good for long hair?

Also a way to get rid of frizzies is to rub just a little itty bitty bit of hair oil/hair/hair grease/hair lotion in your plams and do what you said to do. i love coconut and jasmine oil! and i LOVE multiple ponytails as well. their awesome and stylish. lol you mske cool videos musique3579.

I'm currently growing my hair have been since, September. But I think it has stopped growing, for like a month the length is just below the top of my jaw bone. How can I get it to grow quicker? I really want hair like yours its brilliant. My hair is driving me crazy

@MrKristoferLi No way to make the hair grow quicker. Genetics determines all of this. 1/2" per month is the average for the majority of people. I can assure you that your hair has not stopped growing, but the whole process takes years. Try as best as possible not to think about it and the time goes by quicker. All the best and don't give up whatever you do.

I wish you were my father, i would love to have my hair like yours, but every time i try to let my hair grow, my dad starts to yell at me, telling me that i look like a girl, and sometimes he starts to ignore me when i need his help just becouse i refuse to get a haircut... Anyways i hope i can let my hair grow once i go to the university.

All this is is a form of self expression as how YOU desire your hair to look which in my opinion is your right to do just as anybody else chooses their hair to look. This "look like a girl talk" goes over like a lead balloon. It is used on guys growing out their hair all the time. I can assure you that you look like a man. Nature WANTS we humans to have long hair.

@justinhasproblems1 Just a guess, but probably 1 perm won't wreck it beyond repair. Do it enough however and it will damage your hair. Hope this helps.

@rick92rr Well, Perms, Straightners and colorings are actually ok IF you are not planning on growing your hair past the base of your neck and are getting regular haircuts, and all of those things do look good! :-) However, if growing for a very long length, these products make it impossible for your hair to last for years and years. This means you can never have healthy very long hair as what has been done has demolished it from being able to grow very long well. Too bad also, no cure.

@hallchad612 Yeah, I KNOW it is funny. I just "wing" these videos. More fun that way and spontanius. Best thing is no matter what, don't allow people to get the best of you. YOU are in control of how you want your hair, not them. It is YOUR right to choose. The ONLY way others can bother you is if YOU allow them to. Just laugh the morons off every time no matter what and they will learn that nothing they say phases you in the least. Best of luck to you with your hair.
