How come so many people complain about not being able to keep Zune Pass songs but when Spotify came to the US no one complains. It's the same thing people. Oh, I know. Spotify works on Iphones so it must be superior. Before people would say "why don't you just buy the songs on Itunes and keep them forever?" Now those same people are subscribing to Spotify Premium and they get to keep NO songs. What hypocrites.
Zune Pass is awesome. I have it on 3 devices (2 zune players, 1 windows phone) and I also use it on my xbox. I have the software loaded on 2 computers as well.
i got one question and that today zune pass did a 14 day trial soo i thought i give it a shot soo i listen to some music on my xbox 360 but i notice that some of the Great Songs are Block or you cant play them example i wanted to listen to aerosmith Dream on or hurt Johnny Cash or even metalica some of the great songs but i notice that some of there Greatest hit Songs are like block
Soo i think maybe if i Pay the Full 14.99 it will be unblock and Problem solve soo i paid 14.99 And still block

@FebruaryKids Not recommending you do this, but you can easily download a free file converter and just convert all the songs (music files). They won't disappear afterwards. With all the Channels and mixes they feature now with the Zune pass though, it's nice being introduced constantly to new music. Up to you.
@Rolfpwned17 But you have to subscribe every month for the rest of your life in order to keep the songs that weren't from the 10 you get every month. That's fucking retarded. I'll just pirate the music.
When you don't use the monthly credits to download a song you can listen to that song on your zune anytime you want as long as you renew your pass. If you don't renew it the song just won't play anymore.
i have a question, when you download songs without using your zune credits and you put it on your zune. after the month is over all your songs that is already download into your zune will dissapear or what?
@DaLinkMaster u have to continue to pay, if u stop paying monthly all the songs that u downloaded and that u didnt buy with your zune credits will disapear, so basically u keep 10 songs for life each month.
$15 a month on $15 dollar itunes cards for a year=180 songs
$15 a month on Zune Pass=150 songs PLUS unlimited downloads on other songs each month.
-You basically get 10 downloads at $1.50 and unlimited albums and songs that you may not be able to keep, but once the month is over and all but the ten you keep go away all you have to do is download them again!
Not exactly. The 10 songs you BUY u keep forever and u never have to download them again. But say,you just download an album and dont buy it,you keep it for a month and then it goes away.If you want to download that same album the next month, you can.
@RedsoxwonAgain Yeah, you're right. Except for the fact that you HAVE to pay 15 dollars a month for the rest of your life or you lose all of the songs and videos (with the exception of your 10 free songs). They're DRM protected and expire after a month if you don't continue to subscribe. Whereas in iTunes, you don't have an obligation to pay. They're both shitty.
wait so once u download the music, like how u bought a $15.00 zune card pass, then once u buy it u get all the other songs for free insted of only geting 10 songs or what?
wait so once u download the music, like how u bought a $15.00 zune card pass, then once u buy it u get all the other songs for free insted of only geting 10 songs or what?
@Tyvanv135 You get 10 songs to keep forever, and after that you get unlimited "trial" songs, they are full lenth normal songs, but you keep them for 1 month
yes you can, forward the zune software to "follow" the itunes music folder and BAM your there, but it will only copy over the DRM Free music/videos -- any DRM media will not copy
Its like best buy coming to your house and giving u a truckload of cd that u like but at then end of the month they come back and tell u ok give me 15 bucks and u can keep them for another month but if u dont pay best buy 15 bucks they will take all the cds and let u keep ten songs now if you were on itunes you would pay 10 bucks for 10 songs so compared to itunes with the zune pass you realy only pay 5 bucks a month and the 10 bucks goes towards thise 10 songs u get to keep forever
ya this guys got it wrong because you get ten songs for free to keep forever and then you get to download was much music as you want and keep it if you have zune pass so you get what your paying for
It has no incentive, people can listen to any music on youtube or elsewhere to sample what they like then buy what they like to support the artist.
I'm not saying that Zune pass it totally worthless, if you plan to keep the subscription and you want easy portable access hassle free to all kinds of music then it's fine. But for somebody like me Zune is worthless.
no, itunes is $10 for ten songs, zune is $15 for unlimited songs, plus 10 songs you keep forever, even if you stop paying. Its not very hard to understand
Zune Pass= Unlimited downloads as long as your subscription is valid. You can downoad ALL the music you want, unless your subscription runs out, then your downloads will not play. In terms of keeping 10 songs, that means even if your subscription runs out, you keep those 10 songs forever. Basically, if you paid $15 a month every month for the rest of your life, you will get all the music you want to download forever.
The songs 10 songs you get also have a 7 burn limit, meaning you can only burn those songs 7 times. If you do not keep 10 songs a month, they do not carry over and add on to the next month.
So basically you pay $15/month for 10 songs, which you can only burn 7 times.
well, not exactly, you get ALL the music you want, and can keep it all as long as you pay $15 a month, so for about $180 a year you could have unlimited music for the same price as about 180 songs.
with itunes, you pay by the song, not by the month, the zune pass allows to to download UNLIMITED songs for $15 dollars a month, and if you choose to stop paying $15 dollars a month, you loose all the songs you downloaded EXCEPT the 10 free songs you get every month.
thats what people dont understand about the zune pass. once you sync the downloaded songs onto your zune you have them forever IT DOES NOT MATTER IF YOU STOP THE SUBSCRIPTION as long as you sync the songs you can keep them forever
Take a look at it like this. Lets say you fill up 80 GB of music using iTunes. thats 20,000 songs at a dollar each is 20k.
Now with zune pass 20k/$15 a month thats 1333 months, which is 111 years worth of the subscription, which barring miraculous advances in medicine is life. Now this is saying if you only get 80 gb worth and dont switch it up at all. So if you buy more than 15 songs a month, this is worth it
So, my understanding is, you get all the music you can imagine (or that Microsoft has) for 2 weeks and then only 10 songs remain? Weird, why not just copy it out of the storage folder...
I don't understand, how the hell you buy instead of download them, aren't the songs on User -> Music -> Zune -> Subscription just copy the songs and get them out of there, Why pay anyways when there is ares, limewire and a whole bunch of p2p software! this is so retarded!!!
your comment did not make any sense? you said "why pay for music" but then you said use rapidshare its $13/month.... to me that is still paying money, isn't it?
if know how to use rapidshare in tricky way , you even don't have to pay 13/month. I said everything not only music dude. For music you can download free without registration. search and download. but there is restriction for unregistered user. go the site . u will know it .
its the same as itunes.... 79 microsoft points= 99 cents, 99 microsoft points= those songs that are 1.30 or something.... i checked wikipedia so im not wrong
Ya i was about to say maybe download means you can only listen inside of zune but... he says it goes on the computer so why the hell would you buy a track...
im not sure about that. but that would be cool lol. i would just sub to 1 month, and get thousand of song. but im sure they have some way to prevent that.
dont get a zune pass cause all the songs you get for free to be able to listen to those songs you must have a zune pass if it expires you wont be able to listen to those songs till you buy another one
Connect your Zune to your computer with a USB cable. In the lower corner of the Zune Marketplace you will see an icon that looks like a Zune, click it. On the screen that comes up, click 'sync'. This will put the music you downloaded on the Zune.
You keep the music as long as you are subscribed, after you cancel your subscription you will lose the music you downloaded, with one exception...you can permanently download ten songs a month for free with the Zune Pass.
Very nice video on Zune MP3 player. On my website you can online text for free to anyone. Very easy and awesome to send multiple text messages in one click. Just go to my profile to see.

$15 a month on $15 dollar itunes cards for a year=180 songs
$15 a month on Zune Pass=150 songs PLUS unlimited downloads on other songs each month.

OK people the reason I buy music is because i get the quality I pay for.
1.iTunes plus.
2. Limewire MAY contain viruses and I dont have AV because I hate it.
3. The info to the song is already there......(even though you can find it yourslef)
4. I SUPPORT THE ARTISTS I LOVE SO THEY CAN RELEASE MORE GREAT WORK.
One reason i wouldnt recommend P2P programs like Limewire is because people have to understand Torrents and what the files may contain.
Illiterates will not want to deal with this.
TrojanxInfection 2 years ago
4. is the only good reason.

well, not exactly, you get ALL the music you want, and can keep it all as long as you pay $15 a month, so for about $180 a year you could have unlimited music for the same price as about 180 songs.

I get that, so Itunes is the better deal then.
Look at it over a two year span.
itunes 180 dollars = 180 songs
zune 180 dollars = 10 songs
If you don't want to keep paying money but still want to buy your music, itunes is your best bet.
