POLICE WHO NEGLECT to confiscate area surveillance tapes on any crime scene, can wind up facing Dept review, reprimand or paid administrative leave.
Therefore it's imperative that every Officer clearly understands the need to wipe video surveillance tapes that may implicate them in litigation which can be misconstrued by common civilians as "abusive behavior," even when its clear said behavior is NOT "abusive," but rather routine police work to trained eyes (as clearly evident in this incident.)
