  • Also recommended (preferred?) Barenboim's with English Chamber Orchestra on EMI. I hope to die with this piece echoing in my ear. May be someone will also play it on my funeral along with K491. It's gonna be a long death/funeral. Hell, what does it matter. I will be dead a lot longer!

  • there is no too slow or too fast when it comes to great artists

  • Such love and tenderness. Ah, Sir. Mozart, where do I begin. The most profound piece that I've had the good fortune to listen to.

  • One of more beautiful pieces written by Mozart, example of the maturity and absolute reached perfection, capable of expressing so many beauty and inspiration of an as simple as possible way. The interpretation of these two giants of the 20th century is wonderful, perfect, of absolute reference.

  • thanks so much for this

  • of all slow movements in Mozart's 27 piano concertos, this one has the deepest feeling....

  • Don't care if this is too slow (I know it is), it's beautiful!

  • Way too slow. They have since discovered that this movement is in Alla breve! (that is about twice this tempo.) (as you can see it was also called Larghetto and not Largo.) Well apparently it was noted down in Mozart's own handwritten score!

  • It's too slow even compared to todays slowmotion performances.

  • Lovely. I heard Curzon play this concerto in NYC in 1966. It was unforgettable (obviously, since I haven't forgotten it).

  • How nice to hear this lp.... ehhh cd again. Thanks for uploading!
