  • Dude that guys my seminary teacher....... COOL!

  • While I don't believe in god, this is true. I really like this video :)

  • Why all the dislikes? Odd

  • @abrown2986 157 people probably came here thinking this was gonna be a chuck norris video

  • Hyrum!

  • @jennaboo9 haha yeah! One of my best friends is named Hyrum. Only in Utah.

  • I am Catholic, yet I loved this video and the message. Honor Jesus Christ through helping others.

  • drugs and smoking are like jail cells. you might think you are free, but you are trapped by your addiction

we believe in not letting anything rule our life!

    like addictions or drugs

  • Thank you for having this captioned. I really enjoyed watching. :)

  • Look everybody it's Willie Nelson! haha good vid though.

  • DURS NU GULD HUR!

  • our life wont be filled with love because of our own works of kindness. It's the other way around; Jesus fills our life with love and forgiveness and in our love for him, we desire to love and serve those in our life, not for a reward, but because we have already been rewarded with the gift of life from Jesus Christ

  • @clarkdannyclarkdanny You're right that Jesus fills our life with love and forgiveness, and he is the reason we should serve others. I think we serve others to show our love for him and we are filled with his spirit and charity when we do. What Jesus gave us is a gift, and there is no way to repay him. We can love him and serve him and his children. We can also learn of him line upon line, precept upon precept (Isa 28:10) to become a little more like him (Matthew 26:25) and follow him.

  • @clarkdannyclarkdanny "Devotion to the work of the Lord Jesus Christ", that is what He said in the video. Peace and joy are what He gives us, especially when we do His will. You are right, it is not for a reward, but they never said it was. The fact that God does reward those who do his work is not the reason we do it.

So you see, we seem to agree clarkdannyclarkdanny.

  • I remember this story from conference, can't wait for general conference! :D

  • @DeusUniversa10... From an Apostle of the Lord "The gospel of Jesus Christ is not an obligation, it is a pathway marked by our loving father in heaven, leading to happiness and peace in this life, and glory and inexpressible fulfillment in the life to come. The gospel is a light that penetrates mortality and illuminates the way before us.

  • Why does this message need to be linked to religion? I've heard similar stories elsewhere trying to associate them with all sorts of things, even dieting!

  • @chronDiggity Who said it had to be linked to religion?? It just was applied to religion here....I could just as easily go onto a video about dieting and say...."WHY DOES THIS MESSAGE NEED TO BE LINKED TO DIETING???

    No would thumbs up that.

  • I love this video. As Elder Ballard had said our small acts of kindness will accumulate to become bigger and bigger. In every small things, great things shall come to pass.

  • @DeusUniversa10 I have to agree.

  • Love these videos, but I also love the freedom I have as an atheist.

  • @DeusUniversa10 Agreed my friend.

  • @DeusUniversa10 just out of curiosity..what freedoms?

  • @thoriginalphillyfan just out of curiosity, how aren't we free?

  • @DeusUniversa10 I love the freedom I have as a Latter-Day Saint. :)

  • This actor is a Seminary teacher at my school!!!

  • Interesting. This is indeed quite so interesting. I watched this all the way from beginning to end.

  • i love this video!

  • let us be greatful

  • I'm so glad that we truly have apostles and prophets guiding us through messages like these, I cringe to think where I would be without the gospel.

  • @GCrow12 why is the so misleading, Mormon Message so, this is just Mormon message, not God?

  • @ilikesuzuki Mormons believe in God. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has a prophet and apostles that are the mouthpieces of God here on earth. I know that if we listen to their counsel, we will be able to follow God.

  • @blaker53 I am an amateur scholar with high functioning autism that was born in Renton and grew up in Western Washington and I can tell you that in my sight, the prophets of the most high are also the most logical speakers. They are perfectly logical because their words or ideas are completely clean of all of selfish desires and are based on faith and fact alone. While many interpret the Bible to make God subjective, the Bible itself says that God only respects those who obey the Golden Rule.

  • @SirGabriel2076 "While many interpret the Bible to make God subjective, the Bible itself says that God only respects those who obey the Golden Rule."

Well, that's a nice thought, but I bet you wouldn't like it if some powerful group told you that you couldn't marry the person you loved because of some belief they had. It's none of their business, but they stop you anyway. Wouldn't that be terrible?

How would you feel? That breaks the golden rule, doesn't it?

  • @ilikesuzuki These videos provide life learning messages that are provided by the LDS (Mormon) church to learn life long lessons to help us become better people. There are at least a hundred videos that the church has put out that are similar to this video.

  • I really liked it! They have gold panning at the Mormon Battalion museum in San Diego and this reminded me of it. I really liked this video.

  • Thank you. this was Heaven sent.

  • thank you for posting another great message.

  • There's no gold here!

  • They sure had nice video equipment in the 1850's.

  • I went on trek this past summer with my stake - South Jordan Highland Stake. Our stake president told us this story at our "sacrament." :)

  • when I am feeling down like today,it is a blessing to have these videos to reflect upon. Thank You for posting them:)

  • @bebegurl31291 this is wonderful praise the lord for his blessings

  • Let us be grateful for the smaller and simpler things...

  • Why is there a mormon channel?

  • @SugarFreeTargets This channel is here to spread the gospel of Jesus through wonderful little messages like this one, and to bring as all closer to Christ by reminding us that He still calls prophets today just like in the times of the bible :)

  • these beautiful videos always make me want to be a better person :")

  • I love this!

  • Great stuff! As always :)

    Good bless you all

  • Beautiful video! Thank you for posting. I needed this reminder today.
