White Fang: real name Jed and stared in other movies such as The Journey of Natty Gann in 1985, of course White fang 1 and "The Thing" in 1982 as the "dog thing".

Jed was a great actor.

@TheJelenafan We had a wolf once, from Tunesia, If you really want to help a wolf and adopt one, you might consider taking one from there. Because of the war a lot of wolves don't have anything to eat or to drink and people don't take them in anymore. They live in or near villages so they are already used to human contact. They are actually called "Desert Dogs" but are family of the wolves and look the same, although they don't live in cold snowy areas so the fur is a little bit shorter.

That's sad, but it doesn't happen in the book. Gray Beaver takes White Fang and Kiche to his village ,but then Kiche gets separated from White Fang. Also Kiche then gives birth to another cub while they are separated.

I'm assuming the dieing wolf is One Eye, his father, rather than his mother Kiche. Still the scene portrayed doesn't happen, but changing it so that White Fang finds his father's corpse rather than Kiche seems a far more sensible plot twist than killing off his mother early on.
