A maillot is actually not just any womens one piece swim suit but a certain kind. I know because I have to hunt for them - they're still revealing and sexy for young women like me but I need the extra coverage from surgical scarring. It's a one piece with cut aways - essentially often more resembling a bikini that's joined together with for example a strip of fabric down the front. Very nice
