  • I'll bet Betty & Wilma had tons of bush back then - prehistoric bush makes 70's porn bush look like shaved.

  • At one time a lot of television shows promoted alcoholic beverages. Notice that on Bewitched you see a lot of smokers and EVERYBODY was always drinking. Even early episodes of Get Smart, Max was smoking. (later changed to a non smoker)

  • wow 4:25 seconds of advertising alcohol aimed at kids-UNREAL

  • Geez, are they trying to market beer to five year olds? xD

  • @cbohar84 That's because the Flinstones were originally made for adults. It was the first animated sitcom in Prime Time.

  • this actually makes me want a beer.

    anyone else?

  • is this real.....?

  • Hooray for alcohol!

  • I don't like beer even though I drink alcoholic beverages from time to time. YABBA DABBA DOO! I'm glad this commercial was in color unlike the cigarette one.

  • as a kid in the 60s i dont remember any commercial that lasted 4 minutes long

  • LOL "its only money" Tell that to the current corporate pigs that are draining $ out of this ecnomy.

  • It's funny how they got Mr. Slate drunk to give them their jobs back...wonder if Peter Griffin should try this (with Pawtuckett Patriot, of course!)..

  • 1:06 LOL barney has freds voice

  • @earthrose93 You mean that Fred has Barney's voice.

  • I don't recall this episode! LOL!

  • This ad is unreal. That Fred & Barney advertised cigarettes was already something. But I had no idea they sold beer, too!

  • FALL DOWN THE MOUNTAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Now the best ad I ever seen in my life!

  • Greatest beer commercial without tits!

  • Fred sounds like Mike Shannon.

  • is this Alan Reed or Henry Corden doing Fred's voice?

  • @nobodysperfect06, Alan Reed until his death in 1977.

  • Wait!!! they had beer back then in the stone aged???

  • @popactor This must have been the "stoned" age.

  • @popactor Well beer probably was made since 9500 BC in Egypt so yes they did have it in the stone age.

  • This is awesome. I wish cartoons were more like this now days. So funny.

  • Wow..... First, they smoked Winston cigarettes, and now they're drinking Busch beer? Now I'm really gonna faint.

  • @BulletZapper46 Hold it Hoooold it. These fine grown men deserve a beer and a smoke after a hard day's..................uh...........theyre grown men and they deserve it.

  • @BulletZapper46 Now they sell vitamins.

  • @ooozetoons Wow... Cartoon characters advertising for cigarettes, beer and medicine? Oh my God!!!

  • @BulletZapper46, that's because "The Flintstones" were originally geared towards adults, before the network discovered more kids were watching it as much as adults.

  • @MrPman851 I know. I was just saying it.

  • @BulletZapper46, me too.

  • What people don't remember about the Flintstones is that the show was originally geared towards adults. However, ABC learned that both adults AND kids watched the show. BTW, Anheuser Busch is the same comapny that brews Budweiser.

  • @MrPman851 We all know that Anheuser Busch produces Budweiser, you idiot

  • it is good beer

  • I bet Schlitz paid for this...

  • This is the greatest commercial I've ever seen. What the fuck happened to real advertising?

  • @Tethros It went down the toilet along with the shows they have on now a days. lol

  • I like how the flinstones used to sell alcohol and tobacco

  • I had my kids watch this and by the end they were alcoholics!

  • LOL... There's a lot of Bush gonna be sold!! LOL

  • Oh god...first Winston cigarettes, now this! Goodbye childhood. *Toilet flush*

  • @animallover2047 these children are the adults of today and people wondering why so many alcoholics and smokers. and they knew exactly what they were doing; target advertising, and they say it. they sold cigarettes also.

  • If Bush beer made me hear hallucinary voices and hallucinary hands come at me I would lose my freaking mind!

  • Yabba Dabba... WHAT?! Thanks for killing my childhood!

  • You can't say vaginal penetration better than BUSH.

  • Boy this was a pretty fucken long comercial!

  • most people think about busch of course we spell it bush and it ain't a crappy beer.

  • I'm drink me a Busch..

  • i love this commercial its got flinstones :)

  • @1:06 Fred has Barney's voice. LOL

  • Ah, the days before political correctness

  • Now, I want a beer.

  • When your drunk,your aim is spot-on!

  • These days if u tell a bartender to hurry up or call him a name he does one of two things:

    1) makes u wait even longer

    2) adds a little extra flavoring to your drink without u knowing it.

  • when i drink busch i feel that hand ohh yeah and yes i feel feel it in my head!!! imagine if that hand can do that to the head, what could it do to the rest????

  • If Mr. Slate had a little more "Busch", that magic hand would have stroked something else!

  • Hang on guys, this looks like a special to be shown to distributors and bar owners at a tavern owner's convention or some such. It clearly was not intended for broadcast on TV, not at 4:30. Such specialty cartoons were not all that rare, if a bit costly.

  • Anheuser-Busch? Fine! How's yours? x^P

  • yaba daba douchbag

  • when you want a beer, nothing goes better than bush lol...

  • This is a commerical? Hanna-Barbara made segments shorter then this.

  • fred and barney drinking?Oh my.

  • New to me, I never knew that Fred & Barney did advertys for anything other than Winston ciggies.

    Thanx fer the clip, m8..

  • I've seen the Fred and Barney smoking commercials innumerable times, but I haven't even HEARD of this Busch Beer spot. Thank you!

  • Old cartoons endorsing alcohol. Cool.

  • @Centerman2k The Hamm's bear is another example...Hey, cartoon characters drink beer. Enjoy Duff with Homer and Barney (Gumble) in the Simpsons (hey wait, that dumb kid is calling again to ask if there's an Al Coholic there...)

  • ahhhh the good ole days.... YES, a calming beer :DDDD

  • there's a lotta busch gonna be sold!

  • Comment removed

  • First they sell cigaretts now beer, just how contraverial did "The Flinstones" get.

  • first winstion and now this??

  • Yabba Dabba doo! Busch beer is King for me!

  • first the cigarette and than the beer

    nice.....

  • Fred and Barney serving Busch beer? And many people thought Family Guy was the first controversial cartoon!

  • @BigBlueBeast South Park is waaaaaay more controversial than anything family guy has done. more funny than anything family guy has ever done too

  • I'd watch more cartoons if they all had shameless plugs for beer!

  • When did Fred and Barney sell beer? I've saw in other ads they sold Winston Cigarettes and Welch's juice and jelly, peanut butter and bread, vitamins, Alka Seltzer and of course Pebbles. I wasn't even born when they premered on TV and only two when it went off the air.

  • OMG, you gotta be kidding!! What else did these guys sell, nuclear waste? LOL

  • What year is this from?

  • That's it - get Mr. Slate shitfaced and you get what you want.

  • At 0:30 Fred says, "Oh boy! There's a lotta Busch gonna be sold!" Apparently that's what time the ho's and johns show up at the bar. Come to think about it, Fred's entire line there REEKS of bad grammar.

  • @elc1960 I have seen the one where they throw the dart to the target and say "you know who the target is" and laugh. The target of course was the children who within a few years will start to drink.

  • My childhood icons shilling for a suds company. I'm going to bed.

  • at 0:51, "the GROVE TAVERN-TYPE INN BAR GRILL LOUNGE PUB SALOON"?

How does Bush fit all that on the delivery receipt when Fred and Barney re-order?

    (lol!)

love this! what a find, thanks

  • I knew I could blame the Flintstones for all my influences!

  • Wow...what the Hell is up with Fred's hair. He goes all off-model all over the place.

  • ROFL! God almighty, Fred and Barney must've put something in that beer....that or the FDA made 'em take the hallucinagens out in the third century BCE

  • all we need now is to see Bugs Bunny pushing reefer sticks!!!

  • That's cool stuff!!!

  • "don't say beer, say Busch, "BUSCH!", Schlitz malt liquor Busch!"

  • Fred & Barney slipped some Oxycontin in that Busch. Busch alone isn't enough to change anyone's mind......

  • in those times the Looney Tunes could announce cigarettes

The Flintstones promoting Winston cigars & Busch beer was odd, but good

now they´re limited to announce cereal made of pebbles & those cracky vitamins from bayer

  • if you read the video description, this vid was meant for busch employees only!!

  • Booze helps people make decisions!

  • It's nice of Fred to talk in Barney's voice at 1:06.

  • I did not know they had beer in bedrock amazin.....lol and Busch beer also next be the internet founded by fred n barney also to

  • @Lehnerd57 How else would they have had sex with all those ugly cave chix???

  • If I didnt see this as a kid I wouldnt be a drunk now. Can I sue??

  • Goes well with the Winston ads.

  • I love the Busch magic calming hand. That's not how MY drunk thoughts work.

  • Huh...looks like Fred & Barney started what Homer Simpson & Peter Griffen picked up; being blue-collared, beer drinking men!

Mr. Barns drunk...now THAT would be funny!! :D

  • Unless Bamm Bamm would have to put him in a wrestling move to keep him from hitting Betty. But I think Barney would be a nice drunk, unlike Fred. Now that guy was a ticking time bomb.

  • BUSCH BEERS !!!!! FUCK YEAH

  • there is a flintstones blooper in the 'impratical joker/counterfit money' episode.

  • flintstone's was a cartoon first marketed toward children AND parents, so of course they would put things in there for the grown, ups too.

  • Omg remember when cartoons could get away with this and everyone still loved em. Imagine Spongebob doing this everyone would freak out!

  • After Winston dropped them they needed a new one and they got Busch to take over for them after the 3rd season when Wilma was pregnate with Pebbles

  • like i always said .. nothing to make your boss hear voices and hallucinate like busch beer!!

  • a dark day for cartoons.

  • This is just too cool!

  • This was produced for a 1966 Busch sales meeting [previewing their upcoming 1967 ad campaign and commercials for the brew], and was NEVER seen by the general public. Gerald Mohr was the narrator...

  • where in the hell did this come from?

  • 1:10 - 1:15

The whatchama-hypnotic-spiraladelic effect. Is this Hanna-Barbera's signature way of indicating X amount of time elapsed—or the effects of chuggin' down Busch Beer?

  • Now that I think about it, pretty much any 70's H-B cartoon with teenagers and their pet sidekick; that spiraly-wheel is usually used. i.e. Josie and Pussycat's acid trips or Shaggy and Scooby's pot-induced hallucination.

  • this is good

  • Fred and Barney drinking Busch and smoking Winstons, whoever said cartoons weren't cool hasn't seen these!

  • This is the America I knew: beer drinking cartoon commercials..it would be impossible to show now...political correctness you know..

  • Yabba Dabba Drinks!

  • If it was privet how did you get your hands on it, I would love to know your sorces for this querky toon
