In most cases, the people in government are hungry for power and money. I feel safer when weapons are not solely controlled by such people and so did the founders - hence, the 2nd ammendment.

I undesrtand your point of view, but having or not having weapons wouldn't change much things if people decided to revolt. Most revolutions happened in countries were the government had the guns, but that didn't stop people fighting. I totally undertand the reasons behind gun ownership in the 18th and 19th centuries...they are outdated for the 21st century.

I mean, having guns at home hasn't stopped a near fascist corporation controlled regime from sprouting in the white house
