No deaths! they have turned the raw action and drama in Usagi a whole lot down from what it was in the comics. Sure to make it "kid friendly" I would still have loved to see that skull speach buble on top of all the dead characters.

Yojimbo means bodyguard, fool. They might have messed up the character, but they translated Usagi Yojimbo correctly. Besides, he's supposed to be named Miyamoto Usagi, not Usagi Yojimbo (that's the comic).

This Usagi episode is one of my favorites. I think I still have it on VHS somewhere that I taped in the 80s. Used to play the Usagi video game, too.

Usagi Yojimbo and TMT are the reasons i started to study the martial arts. However, this is so lame compared to the USagi Comics...in the comics his moves would actually work (besides the ghost stories)....come to think of it the original tmnt comics were much better than this stupid cartoon tooo...but i still rushed home from school to watch it

Wow i have just discovered the Comics and it is Fantastic (unfortunately Because now i have to use all my money on getting the rest 20 albums) Apart from "Space Usagi" on Usagi's Homepage i did not know that he was animated.

If you like the Usagi Yojimbo comics, check out Groo the Wanderer and Lone Wolf and Cub...both A-grade comics and major influences on Usagi Yojimbo. And, of course, the source of the title Yojimbo's use, the movie Yojimbo.

And then you get into the business with the inspiration for that movie and the remakes of it and all that.

But if you like Usagi Yojimbo, then LWC, Groo, and Yojimbo, are practically instantly recommended on my part.

I've collected the entire Usagi Yojimbo graphic novel series, and I heard about this happening; Usagi and the turtles go back and forth, sharing series. It's kinda cool! But his name is Miyamoto Usagi, not Usagi Yojimbo.
