exelente diseño pero siento que falta algo para que pueda volar hacia delante un 3 rotor tal vez, pero aun asi esto rpomete mucho y tendria mucho mercado tanto por incursion como inovacion en los rc
Single rod for the T-tail implies a weak structure. You could have easily uses a twin tail for greater strength and stability - and that too with a combined weight lesser than the single rod!
@roboflyguy This comment is not very funny Dude. It is very offensive to anyone who understands what Jesus Christ has done for us. You obviously do not. He died so that we might live beyond this mortal life.
@schlusselmensch Jesus Christ teaches me that I should always stand up for what is right and testify of the things which I know to be true. It is against Gods Commandments to take His name in vain.
@Sixalienasa That is where you are wrong amigo, it applies to all of Gods children. It is a Commandment not a request. If you violate it then there is an accountability.
The concept may not be new, but it's been built from scratch with a relatively low budget. How many millions did the US blow on designs that went nowhere. The hovering was particularly impressive. In flight transition would be nice to see in the future.
I'd really like to see a takeoff where it transitions from horizonal thrust to vertical, and back to horizontal.... I guess it would be a bit like deploying massive blown flaps...
This type of convertiplane design is nothing new. The U.S. Air Force and various Canadian firms built full size machines similar to this in the 1960's. How 1960's technology will "compete" with the modern Osprey is what I want to know. There is an Air and Space Museum in Canada somehwere( Toronto?) where older tilt wing planes are on display.
They are amazing and would make a cool scale RC model, just not sure how groundbreaking any of this is.
Other Aerovertical's models under development are based on another concepts of the broad range of this exciting VTOL world. In this first stage they all are electric powered and will shared some core components: electronics, sensors, etc.... So, in the next future, why not a turbine power RC set?.
Thanks for your interest and... sorry, Roidroid ! ;-). Our intention was to transmit the same expectancy and cliffhanger that this exciting research involves. Anyway we can tell you that there is a happy end!! :-)))

nice VSTOL you have there. it looks like an RC plane the army would used or some. plus it reminds me of the V-22 osprey. Keep up the good work!

Well, it takes off in two configurations, but can it transition from one to another AFTER takeoff?

@daddydeathsmack I was about to ask the same thing. It never showed transition from vertical to horizontal.

@jruip and those gyros does not affect the plane mode flight?

Guys, you don't need all those bells and whistle computers to develop this thing.
If you have the power ( you do) and the controls and CG correct ( you do I think)and a gyro in each axis, it should fly.
There's no live pilot, so kill the cheesy music, reach down and grab your balls and then fly the bitch.
