Beautiful ride! 200 mph isn't unbelieveable. There is a '69 Camaro owned by Keith Sullivan at SpeedTek Performance here in Fort Worth that has a stroked out 409! Resting on top is a Kenne Bell supercharger! Its putting 775 to the rear wheels and is backed up to a T56 tranny. It has been documented running 195 mph at Texas Motor Speedway. Makes me moist just looking at it! You can see a picture of it on their website home page.
NICE! What kind of transmissions do you put in there. 150 is too easy in those, I've done 130 in mine with half the power these have (I don't trust my tires past that)
And you guys NAILED the tires. You know how to make them fit into the car nicely. It's surprising how rare it is to see a first gen Camaro with tires that look right. Nice measuring work!
WOW you know I'm really disappointed they dont make cars like this anymore I saw a corvette pass by and it sounded like a hybrid! Where has the meaness in muscle cars gone?
that's a big money car can believe those power #'s super charged lsx block has to be at least 425+ cubes supercharged pretty easily done.....however would prefer to see a 540 or 572 big block in there making that much power....lol just me i'm old school
Ok please curb my curriosity, i've been told if it's a true Yank it's got a Supercharger under the hood, is that true for all the Yanks or just a select few?
that camaro would be LUCKY to have HALF on the so called 760hp. camaro was NOT the least bit impresive! that camaro would be LUCKY to run high 12s.you would have been beter off to jst show the motor and car ad NOT try to claim its 760hp becouse it IS SLOWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@Rsimon859 Im surprised you know those terms being it shows the car with the hood up and you have a very clear view of the twin screw supercharger. I cannot say which brand it is, might be eaton or magnuson or something similar, but I know for sure its a modern version of a roots style blower....just way better than the old ones.
@Rsimon859 Dont blame ya! Im at work and dont have sound :( only came online to see the comments people left on mine and was drawn to this. So I guess were on oppostie ends haha, I was watching you were listening! either way its a bad ass car!
I saw this car in a magazine, i cant remember the name. And to the guy that doesn't believe it has 760 hp, dude he has a supercharged lsx crate motor! That motor makes a MILLION HORSE at the crank. Great ride man.
poor folks like me,you can have fun with a small block too I had just around 500 hp with a 355 with 11.5to 1 compression.Pull wheel off the ground 3 gear burnouts and 11.42 1/4.lasted many many years and it WAS A 2 BOLT MAIN
I saw this car on the road. This car is Badass! I think this was the same car on the Turn Key Engine Supply website. If it is, then the engine is more than 20k
I would give my left nut to drive that car, i have had supras and 300 zx nissans in the past but i always wanted some serious american muscle under the bonnett!
Nobody has been brave enough to find out and we have not had a chance to dyno the car yet. But I am told that 150 mph has been confirmed with plenty to spare. It could well be a 200+ mph car.
Top speed is easy enough to calculate. Just give me the rear end ratio, the redline rpm (or whatever you have the balls to run it up to), tire size, and the final drive ratio of the tranny. For instance, if the car has a 3.31 rear, running 6500 rpm with 275/45-17 tires, and a 1:1 final drive trans ratio, you'd get about 156 mph. Of course, I'm guessing wildly here. The motor is no doubt very stout, but running 200 mph pushes some serious air. Give me numbers and I'll give some back...
@800hotrod5 give me the keys and ill tell ya how fast it will go nobody brave enough must be a bunch of city boys or your not real confident in your abilities to build a car that can run at this ones potential not trying to be rude or anything but just puttin it out there how i see it
@800hotrod5 I know, there's no substitution for cubic inches... Nice car, but in order to get passed the aero-wall, it will take a helluva lot more than high horses(but that's absolutely mandatory). Check out "Big Red" from the Silver State Classic and Texas Mile. It also a '69 Camaro, well in body anyways. The amount of mods were pretty much everything under the entire skin of the car. But, it got 'em to the "Big 2"! Very cool car... Keep up the good work guys.
@800hotrod5 no hatting but 200mph no way. fact is who cares how fast the top speed is....this isn't nascar and who cares what the quarter mile is it's a badass car period. btw what wheel/tire combo are you running lol i have a 68 i'm doing the pro-touring setup on.
We don't make public how much customers spend on their cars. It's like the old saying, "if you have to ask, you can't afford it."
I will say this though. Projects like that typically cost over 100k. Prices vary considerably depending on the amount of custom hardware, bodywork, and metal fabrication required.
@1355550 Your 100% right. I'm rebuilding a 69 z28 camaro right now. I have 30,000 into it so far and I didn't even put the engine, transmission, or paint on it yet. Full rotisserie rebuilds done right will be around 60,000 - 80,000. The cost can vary greatly depending on what type of engine, transmission, and suspension you decide to go with.
@disturbedone5009 It has wheels and tires like that for the same reason late model Corvettes do; to be able to handle high speed turns well. Take a look at the clips for the Mark Stielow built Jackass Camaro, and his own Red Devil Camaro. You have to have this kind of rubber if you want to compete in autocross or road racing competitions.

I've got one like that...can't even see out of the mirrors they shake so much. It takes a 1000 watt radio to be able to hear any music and I have to stop for gas every 150 miles, so I leave it in the garage unless I need a body massage and want to blow some money..
Well this one runs smooth enough to use the mirrors and hear the stereo unless you are standing on the gas (in which case neither is really relevant). Not sure about the mileage though.
But if you are gonna blow some money, what better way to do it than a horsep ower induced adrenaline rush?
i understand but i was just curious because i would use a car like this to drive around but if it got like even 8 miles to the gallon then it would just cost too much to drive it places.
Its a supercharged, fuel injected motor. It get a bit better than 8 miles to the gallon. I believe it is in the 12-15 range if not a bit higher. This is an LS motor, so think high-perf vette in terms of mileage. The supercharger actually improves the mileage just a bit.
I do have to qualify that a bit. if you drive it like a normal car, it probably gets that kind of mileage. Of course, if you smoking the tires everytime you touch the gas, it will be a lot less. But it certainly gets better mileage that the typical blown BB with a normally aspirated engine.
@roblox84 If you own car like this the last thing you worry about is what kind of mileage you get. If your worried about mileage you cut off your balls and buy a smart car
Not off the top of my head, but i'm just the web/photo guy. Our web-stie has a comprehensivelist of Mfg. links. You could contact the folks at Detroit Speed & Engineering who built the trans for this Camaro.
DaCaneMan, a Tremec TKO 600. I got two of them on my 540 bigblocks. One is a 69 Camaro, the other is a 70 Vette. Check out my video response just up the page.
Hey it's me from back home, just got of the phone with you a couple of hours ago. Man O Man, beautifullllllll. Has Anthony spied this. You have got to make a couple more videos of this. I'm impressed.
I own a 1967 camaro RS/SS. A 1967 Chevelle Malibu and a 1972 chevelle SS 454 that is bored out to 625 horse power! keep the american muscle alive. no cars today will ever match up to these. buetiful car

Top speed is easy enough to calculate. Just give me the rear end ratio, the redline rpm (or whatever you have the balls to run it up to), tire size, and the final drive ratio of the tranny. Its a supercharged, fuel injected motor. It get a bit better than 8 miles to the gallon. I believe it is in the 12-15 range if not a bit higher. This is an LS motor, so think high-perf vette in terms of mileage. The supercharger actually improves the mileage just a bit.

well that's not bad at all , it's actually better then the consumption of the range rover

I do have to qualify that a bit. if you drive it like a normal car, it probably gets that kind of mileage. Of course, if you smoking the tires everytime you touch the gas, it will be a lot less. But it certainly gets better mileage that the typical blown BB with a normally aspirated engine.
How it's driven makes a difference.
