hats off to any academic who invents and gives to humanity, but how does it matter what faith they belong to? there are brilliant ppl all over the world, civilizations are sometimes strong, and sometimes not. how does an invention make a particular religion better? The reason why this is called for is because Muslims were the original inventors. To all those haters around here, every culture has some peak & decline points over the centuries. Now because of many difficulties like poverty and low education Muslims aren't performing well but that doesn't mean that they are unable to do so. Let the countries with most Muslims living (Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, Pakistan) recover their wealth looted by colonial powers, then you will see more Muslim inventions taking place. Only Arabs don't represent Muslims, East Asians got the majority.
None of these scholars were from Mecca or Medina. All of those scientists hailed from conquered lands (Persians, Jews, Spanish, Byzantine Roman etc), and those places were centres of learning long before Islam. So their achievements have nothing to do with Islam. And the supposed Islamic Golden Age happened during the most secular period of Islamic history.

Computers, the internet, global communications, mobiles , touch screens, aircraft, cars, trains, rockets, satellites, spacecraft, skyscrapers, metallurgy, synthetics, most pharmaceuticals, most scientific & maths breakthroughs, periodic table, genetics, discovery of DNA, harnessing electricity, nuclear energy, refrigerators, washing machines. it is said on 03.50 that the heart of Mecca is Kaaba or the black stone. I know it's minor but i don't really think that the black stone is that important. No hadits or any verse saying that we should treat the black stone in any condition. It's a stone full of story and heritage but i am afraid people will link it with false superstition or even saying that Muslim adores that mere rock, while it shouldn't be like that.

To all those haters around here, every culture has some peak & decline points over the centuries. Now because of many difficulties like poverty and low education Muslims aren't performing well but that doesn't mean that they are unable to do so. Let the countries with most Muslims living (Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, Pakistan) recover their wealth looted by colonial powers, then you will see more Muslim inventions taking place. Only Arabs don't represent Muslims, East Asians got the majority.

All of those scientists hailed from conquered lands (Persians, Jews, Spanish, Byzantine Roman etc), and those places were centres of learning long before Islam. So their achievements have nothing to do with Islam. And the supposed Islamic Golden Age happened during the most secular period of Islamic history.

It's all very well calling it 'Islamic' but the achievements were concentrated in the already advanced civilisations that had been conquered by the Islamic bandit slavers. 1) most of the scientists and thinkers themselves openly loathed Islam 2) translating the works of the Ancient Greeks, Byzantines, Indians and Chinese does not make them either Islamic or Arabic 3) NONE of the achievements were made in Arabia itself. If Islamic how come it ended 1,000 years ago? Because it wasn't Islamic.

it is said on 03.50 that the heart of Mecca is Kaaba or the black stone. I know it's minor but i don't really think that the black stone is that important. No hadits or any verse saying that we should treat the black stone in any condition. It's a stone full of story and heritage but i am afraid people will link it with false superstition or even saying that Muslim adores that mere rock, while it shouldn't be like that.
I mean we worship Allah and only Allah

@maroonvelvetgirl Actually brother it is said that the black stone was sent from heaven by God to the Prophet Abraham, and that he used it as an elevator and that is how he made the original building of the Kaaba(i cant remember where this hadith is)But I know that the Prophet used to kiss it when he made tawaf around the kaaba, and so Umar(ra) did the same and he would say to the stone" I know u cannot harm me or benefit me but I am kissing you because I saw the Prophet do it".
