  • hahaha way to blow off some nobs. nice vids. props!

  • @sk8nsnow14 Thanks bud

  • holy fuck you know how to ride

  • wow i believe u coulda smoked all of them with a true slick.,an if the starts were allitle straighteran not so squirrely....but i bet that was a blast getting to do that on a strip.... that looked like it was a blast..awesome man..that 500 is powWwer..i love it..great job..at least u smoked that camaro..lol

  • Considering your contact patch with the tarmac at any one point would be about 6 knobbles of hard rubber, and you spun it up for the first 2 - 3 seconds of every race, I think you did pretty bloody well!! In fact with Slicks on you could've beat all of the competition there IMO. Hats off

  • @NumeroUnoUberMoose I think with a slick on this bike, it would be a whole new animal, I want to try it sometime

  • @groutaone definitely try it with a supermoto setup. I've ridden a sumo spec cr500 and i must say.. holy shit

  • Can you make a video on that :D?

  • @ProGlitcher1997 I think with this gearing I'am about reved out here at this track, this is about it for speed

  • What would be the top speed of your bike?

  • Just drop rear sprocket and start in third you'll smoke em

  • awesome vid mate!!! absolutely love it.

  • @honda064 Thanks bud

  • you should start in the groove and you will hook better.

  • @fast414onNOS Track rules say only slicks in the groove

  • @groutaone Why is that groutaone? Any specific reason?

  • @GosuVu Regular tires damage and or tear off the good rubber left by drag slicks

  • @groutaone Oh okay, Never knew that!.

  • DAMN! That CR-500 is running tits.

  • Have you heard of the new direct injection for two strokes. That would be awesome on a cr500. I think that I seen the new ossa 300 with direct injection. The pipe goes under the seat, its crazy looking.

  • @Twostrokeengine Can you send me a link, I would like to see it

  • Groutaone. You should buy a Dunlop KR108 slick, stretched swing arm, longer chain for swing arm, and stiffin up the rear shock. I ran the kr108 on my 92 cbr600f2 ss and it hooks up good when wormed

  • @Twostrokeengine Thanks, I may set it up for drag yet, I'd also like to try third gear starts like this, wont be faster but I just like the smoke and slide

  • I realy like this video.

    Best burnout ever!!

  • @stoowy100 Thanks bud

  • ahhh you are a killernobie tire but luk very funy and very good star on 2nd

  • @boribiker Thanks, I think third gear starts would work here, may try it yet

  • hope you had fucking spare tyres grout!

  • @Shadeslolz Sure did, this one was kinda worn out for some reason ha ha

  • Off the top of you head do you know what you did?

  • @SquatchyActivity Well I was getting slips in the 7 to 8 second range and 77 to around 100 mph, however I feel the slips were getting mixed up before they were handed out and the slowest is the most believable, so I think it was 8:8 or 8:7. Do any of the annotations show up for you? I just played the whole video and they were all there so Idk

  • I did. And nothing. Maybe your thinking of another video?

  • @SquatchyActivity Check at 2:30, saw it there

  • No?

  • @SquatchyActivity Check the annotation at the end of the vid, bit of a story there

  • @grouatone What did you run?

  • @SquatchyActivity Theres info on that at the end of the vid

  • do more at the strip, it is awesome, cant wait to see some more, and cant wait to see the dune buggy with the extended suspension finished

  • How to make a slick in 30 seconds. So what times did you post you gotta tell us. I'd love to see that thing on motard tires none of those cars would have touched you if you had a good hook up at launch.

  • @JcXtreme72 Hope to try it yet with a good tire, should go a lot better, for the times I ran check the annotation at the end of the video, bit of a story there

  • why didnt you get in the groove

  • @TroyPrettyBoy This track allows only drag slicks there, other tires damage the good rubber laid down

  • @groutaone Hi,thanks for another great video,The cars you raced were no slouch's.For them to beat a cr500 is a big ask.I wonder if you tried racing the bike with the tire completely bald as it is at the end of the video? It probably has more grip than a knobbly. Also if you put on a drag slick,I think you would have trouble keeping the front wheel on the ground.Just a thought.Cheers mate, from New Zealand

  • @06KIWI66 Thanks for watching, Yes you are correct about a proper tire doing better at the strip, would like to try this with a better setup on the bike, this day of racing was just for fun

  • whats your thumpertalk name??

  • @william16339 Guess I dont get around much cause I'am not a member over there yet

  • @groutaone oh sorry,,. when you are bored one day you should make one,,,its fun, you talk about bikes and if u have problems they would help you

  • Same time what i got with my 450 exc supermoto. 1/8 mile./201m.

But i got slicks. not offroad tyres.

  • My god you shift quickly.

  • your right about the street tire they may even make one with softer rubber compounds like the slicks have

  • Accelerating with that beast would be just struggle for me :D

  • nice vids man!!!

  • @alexpuffy1 Thanks bud

  • how many metres is that drsg strip

  • @deandirtbikesforlife This is 1/8th mile, not sure on meters but I'am sure you could find it with a google search

  • you lost a lot of time off the line. I think you would have done better letting out easy in 1st. My best pavement times on my KX500 were done that way, otherwise I just smoked like you. ...or start in second. Also, if you don't want to run sm tires, flat-track tires got me better time.

  • @raredesign I've always been a fan of the green bikes, I think next summer if I dont have it set up for the strip yet I would like to try some third gear starts, these three runs in this video were all second gear starts. I dont think dumping the clutch here in third will make it faster, all the smoke and sliding around may even make it slower but I sure would get a kick out of it ha ha

  • @groutaone awesome bro. I can't wait to see the vid! You are going to lay waist to those cars!

  • wheel spinning looks good, but its useless in acceleretion. I think without spinning of that back wheel could you be faster :)

  • with a little change in gearing you could probably make it 3 out of 3

  • @TheFred1952 or simply use a street tyre at the rear.

  • did you win any of the runs

  • @TheFred1952 Yes, one out of three

  • that is awesome haha!

  • you really hated that tire didnt ya ? maybe go with a bigger front sprocket, and a 3 teeth smaller on rear, and a set of supermotared tires!!! man youll have a blast then aye

im in america and im always sayin aye lol

  • @musiclovr2 I'am really thinking about setting it up for the strip to see what happens, would be fun eh? heh heh

  • Why were you not starting from the sticky side of the track?

  • @macspud28 On this track only drag slicks are allowed in the groove, regular tires damage the good rubber

  • I was just looking at more videos and i found yours on here lol i didnt know you already took yours to the track.. What were you pullin?

  • @drummer7343 Check the anotation at the end of the video, seems there was some mixup going on there

  • @groutaone LOL maybe you got the 69 cameros slip

  • i must of missed this one

  • I'm starting to love your videos! I should drag race you with my crf450r. Haha Jk I would probably get owned.

  • Can you start in 1st gear if you have slicks?

  • @NITROLLATOR Yes I think then first would be a plan, I think I could have done third gear starts here for some extra smoke and sliding heh heh

  • next time i need to change my tires im going to go the the strip for a day before i change them! looks like a blast. Nice riding, love the take off haha!

  • @SexyRedneckRatatat Yep its a real good place to finish off a tire and fun to boot

  • wow, and to think if you wouldve stretched the swingarm and drop the front end with street tires all around, you wouldve spanked every car there.

  • @Ryknfjor I think I want to try something like that yet, would be fun

  • Great video I realy enjoyed it Thanks. I have ran my XR650R at our local 1/8 mile track several times and it is a blast.

  • @musicianman2001 Thanks man, nice bike you have there, I used to have a 79 XR500 in the dual shock days lol, I must have put about 12000 km's on that bike

  • Nice skills mate!

  • @xcod88 Thanks bud

  • @groutaone No problem,just the truth..greetings from Romania!

  • alter das ist echt crass ^^

  • i always seem to get stuck on his channel for hours :D :D :D

  • Cr500 burnouts=ultiment front brake test

  • amazing slick at the end! :)

  • @ricibiribicci Ya it got wore out quick, it had almost full tread at the start of the day just had the edges wore off bad, if I ever try a dirt tire there again I would like to try third gear starts just for the extra smoke lol.

  • @groutaone Laughing out loud!! However in this situation i think that i would have been scared!! It's so powerfull the CR 500!!! And i think that on asphalt is more and more difficult to controll

  • @groutaone Ive watched all your other videos bu saved this one for last. I WANT ONE!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @ad17ster But

  • @ad17ster Thanks for watching, bet that took a while, I appreciate it

  • BEST burnout on Youtube, Dude! Did it feel good? ;)~ I explode in my motocross pants everytime I do one! :) feels SO damn guuuuddd! Just curious if any other dudes have this happen? Layin' forward an the seat vibraten under me just makes me nut HARD everytime! :)

  • Dude, you have the most bad ass dirt bike videos

  • @55Snakes Thanks for watching

  • @groutaone Is the engine stock??

  • @defax1 It has about Five minutes worth of porting at the base of the jug and I'am up 4 jet sizes from factory so I would say real close to stock

  • Too bad its not the fast cr500

  • @MrBobbob69 ummmmm..... yeah it is.

  • @55Snakes the pre-84 aircooled was the powerhouse. wish I never got rid of it :(

  • @MrBobbob69 nice! I rode the YZ490 air cooled back in the day, but the only CR 5 hundo's I rode were liquids. My buddy has one of these AF's and WOW are they nice!

  • time for a slick motard tire !

  • why after taking the time to do spectacular burn out's to warm the tire for traction would you line up out of the racing groove , and just spin again off in the marbles somewhere losing time and having to corect power and control ? ? ? I'm not bashing at all , I could do no better but was just wondering . . .

    long live the 500cc 2-stroke . . . dear Santa ... ha ha

    I wish I had mo-$

    Bill Az . usa .

  • @lolahavasuaz Good questions you ask, the burnouts were just for the video and not really an attempt to improve traction as I didnt expect a warmed up dirt tire to do better than a cold one, the rules at this track are only drag slicks are allowed in the groove as regular tires damage the good rubber already laid down by slicks, hope that helps.

  • your crazy. i would never take no 2 wheeled machine that fast on concrete. thatd hurt like a mother f**ker. once again an interesting video!

  • Just PURE awesomeness! Thank you Groutaone!

  • @Znitso I thank you

  • @groutaone No thank you for posting such cool clips!

  • I can see you putting a drag slick on it and adding NOS. Thumbs up that was sick.

  • @TheDieselStop Thanks for the rate, love your banner, congrats buddy

  • @groutaone Thank you sir.

  • It would be nice to see what times the CR500AF would do with a slick tire and say 14/46 sprockets.

  • @KendrickMcMurphy Next just gotta figure out how to keep the front wheel down heh heh

  • U need a job..ur havin 2 much fun..really

  • And this kid thinks his 1.6 liter civic can beat a dirt bike.. in a quarter mile..

  • @kx85kid12 or a 1/8 mile

  • @kx85kid12 This is 1/8th mile

  • @TheYellowRaptor700r Makes a better video lol, here its useless with this tire but with a drag slick traction would likely tripple after a burnout

  • best 2-stroke burn out on Y-Tube using a 500 2-stroke . .

    Nuff said . .

  • @lolahavasuaz Thanks for watching

  • oh man, you made my whole day,

    i mean my whole week

  • @DutchDennus Thanks for watching

  • dam man that thing go's lol nice

  • @jason28w Thanks bud

  • Just curious, why were you starting out of the groove? With the amount of wheel spin you were getting would it have been better to start where a lot of rubber had been laid down previously or do the knobbies work better on the plain concrete. Anyway awesome video, it was impressive to see you stay in it with a fishtailing 500.

  • @wreschly Yes you are right it would hook better in the grove, however the rules here let only drag slicks on there as other tires tear off the good rubber.

  • how fast where you going in these runs?

  • @guitarrock1991 Check the annotation at the end of the video, bit of a story there

  • @groutaone haha sorry, internet in Iraq is extremely slow so i watched as much as I could....great vid, id love to build a nice CR500 before theyre too hard to find. do you feel the bike can do better with a slick and different gearing?

  • so no, how many millisecond did it take to get to 60mph? :D

  • @VL4TV I think too many with all the tire spin nonsense lol

  • wow, you spanked that camaro :D

  • You leaned too far forward: /

  • holy shit you got a terrible start! shoulda destroyed that car the first race :P

  • I saw a guy back in the 80's at a drag strip in BC on a two stroke dirt bike (Yamaha 500cc or something?). He was racing against full-on drag bikes and winning lots. Off the line, his front wheel went up and he would lean so far over the forks that you thought he'd fall off. It was quite a sight! I was young but remember it clearly.

  • Now I've seen it. Great vid

  • that 6.84 is equal to a 10 second 1/4 mile run which that bike is not capable of stock but still the 8 second runs were nice. i wouls like to see what it would do if it was stretched lowered on a slick.

  • @BLACKLACDTS I think I may have to try something like that

  • Once the knobbies blow off, you've got a slick! Hahaha! Are you going to make some changes to run this machine for drags? I'd be curious what times you get.

  • @DuckmanCycles I may try an extended swingarm and proper tire with better gearing for next year, I'am curious myself now.

  • Brilliant vids as always :)

  • Looks to me like u need a new tire eh?

  • trying to make a slicks out of the tire nerar the end?

  • @OffroadBeaver Seems so, wow was that tire ever toasted

  • looks like a track official was coming to chew your ass on that last burnout! That bike must be a riot!!

  • Keeping up with and/or beating those drag cars is great, especially when you think of the price difference!

Great vid, great idea too! That's one beast of a bike ...

  • awesome video mate love it. Cant believe the power of the bike keeping right next to the Chevelle and beating the Camaro nice :D

  • Oh yea ......don't make me whoop ur ass on my dirt bike .....

  • Love those bikes, sounds awsome!

  • Here's a tip....you don't need to warm up your knobby next time...you would of won all 3 if you just went to the line

  • @badmarthafocker here's another tip if he would put 17" supermoto rims on them with slicks ofcourse he would beat them all

  • A stock CR500 would annihilate a KTM 300 in a drag race. My YZ 250/285 will rip one a new one.

  • Nice passes man

  • AWESOME Brotha, simply awesome! Love the stop framing at the finish line, that really makes the whole thing.

  • @xmozzazx Thanks buddy, had a few cameras running for this one, also had a second gopro on my helmet facing the other guy but I didnt use this footage as the cameras angle tilted the image 45 degrees, oh well still had other cameras going to edit with.

  • New rear fender and a top end rebuild?

  • @pumpkinman47 Nah, its all good

  • 2-Stroke POWER!

  • would time for a rebuild after doing that for a day

  • try running stickys

  • bikes fast bro but my ktm 300 would eat this badly

  • @luciffer420

bah ha, maybe a ktm with cr500 engine

  • @wingking077 have you ever rode my bike? no you havent sit and i have a cr 500 and a xr 600 and both get dusted by the KTM so sit

  • @luciffer420 what am i your dog? If your ktm 300 is faster than "your" cr500, than your doing it wrong.

  • @wingking077 lol no you just missing the point just because the cc's are bigger dont mean anything. just stating a point that their are faster bikes then a cr500 and are smaller too boot

  • Awsome.........

  • you got some balls raceing your bike against cars. you put up a great race and even won and did a burnout or 2

  • @McClinton420 Thanks buddy, was a fun day fo sho

  • great vid

  • haha love it.. it's hard to get these bikes to 60ft with a knobby tire.. i give you credit for trying.. years back when i drag raced i remember seeing a early 90s cr500 going 12:90s at the track, he was spinning all over..

  • @groutaone PLEASE MAN race against a crf 450 please let the people see the power of the king (cr500) SHUT THEIR MOUTHS OFF

  • now do it with supermoto tires and they have no chance :D

  • ....and Honors!
