  • how much cost of this beagle board

  • $150 for such a powerfull embedded development device is nothing.!

  • I am so pissed I wanna buy it but I can't give 150$.... Did they built it by hand? Machines built it.... why does it cost that much? Mobile phones of the same power and more power cost lesssss.... ffs

  • 150$ for this? I don't think so

  • ... Did anyone think of using this board to create a mobile phone? With the processor and everything it would be really good. The only problem would be a battery of course.

  • I've done a lot of work with the 3530 they use, it's the only one you can really buy in single units in the 35xx family that has attractive specs.

None of the Trustzone docs are public though so secure boot and lpar are not accessible.

  • Hi! Pretty cool! Have you tried connecting it to an electronic paper (from: Eink)?

  • Several people have connected it to Eink displays. Moto is one company I recall, but there was also an individual who did a write-up. MMS in Bulgaria has also done this in a way that reduces the bill-of-materials cost.

  • Do you have any links to their work? I can't seem to find it searching on google. Thanks a lot!

  • are the schematics included with the board? this thing seems a worth of buying.

  • Yes, the schematics, layout, and BOM are all provided, even if you don't buy the board. You can download them from the website.

  • Hello. I am having a problem at the code development side. I have the algorithm in C but how can i debug in beagleboard? Is there any websites provided this kind of information? Thanks in advance.

  • How much similar board will cost speaking mass-production in 100 000+ units? You very rough estimation? And, is there a video controller integrated in it? Could it support 720p LCD screen resolution with video playback capabilities?

  • This is often a discussion on the BeagleBoard Google Group. In that sort of quantity, I'd expect it to be quite profitable at $100 MSRP. There is a video controller integrated and it does support 720P LCD screen resolution and video playback. Currently decode is at 720P24 for the open source code, but further optimization is possible with 3rd parties.

  • Thank you for reply! I was more like thinking of better platform then OLPC, and this board seems to have potential for low cost educational markets...

  • I completely agree. Most of the logic for an OLPC would be in this chipset, and it would be much more powerful and lower power than the current XO-1. Those guys should contact me.

  • you are my double and have my same age :)

  • Hi, i discovered that you are my double !!!!

All my students said that you are me! :) hehe

  • is there x86 versions of boards this size?

If so, where can I buy them in the UK?

  • Is there an x86 chipset which gives the same performance for 2W power consumption like the beagle board?

  • Don't think so! The ARM processor is specifically designed for low-power. The ARM processor on this board is typically consuming under 200mW!

  • Not that I know of. You can buy this one in the UK from Digi-Key.

  • lol i want one so small smaller tham pico itx

  • SIMPLY AMAZING!! JUST A PIECE OF ART!! Simply.. SIMPLY AMAZING!!

    Congrats!!!
