  • I think this is the dude Steve Stevens was talking about in his guitar gear video.

  • @sonicalchem

I've watched this vid before, but I just now realized, you have a powered pedalboard... and a separate power supply... Why? o.0

  • why you use voodoo lab?

  • @rickyguitarra that's explained in the videos. ground fault effects that are tip positive cannot run on the same unisolated circuit as tip negative effects. something skb thought of with the newer version of their board.

  • @sonicalchem that also is the trajedy of skb (their new board), allmost kill my tcNova delay

  • real nice board man!

  • @wickedmojo thanks...

  • I love how you point to things with your guitar like it's a natural extension of your body. haha

That's a cool board and nice effects.

  • @projectspud04 it is!! I am a guitarborg.

  • what kind of pedal board is that...i need something to hold my analog pedals and my Boss GT-8 with power for all

    let me know

    thanks

  • it's an SKB

basicly a purchased copy of the old furman board which cost twice as much.

only down fall as i mention in the commentary is..it does not have "isolated" circuits...

so all effects must be dc poled the same direction. but that's why i used the voodolabs power pack also....they are also mentionably isolated on that unit..

  • i donb't get the king of tone, why don't u just get a small tube amp and crank it if u reaLLY WANNA 'PUSH' AN AMP?!

  • The point is...

sometimes you don't have the sonic space to allow the volume to "push" your amp... (the difference from a 15-20 watt fender to 100 watt fender is about 3db.)

so without getting loud, no average amp is going to "push out to cream and compression" w/o tube or circuit mods. and obviously the 100 watt amps were made not to "break up easy"..so if that's your amp..this pedal helps.

another scenario is you can't quite get the "saturation" you desire from any amps, pushed or not.

  • The other thing would be...most "tiny" 7-15 watt amps have a "boxy" sound...

so the King of tone is all it's cracked up to be...

If I had to surrender all my pedals and could ONLY keep one..it would be the KOT.

  • @asianaxeman some amps #1, don't sound that great pushed...and#2 you can get a beautiful boosted tone without all the volume.

  • you're a corkie. ;)

  • @amarr1 how did you know?

  • thanks for making the vid public...this really is an allstar pedal board, you have the best pedal for each kind of effect...i'm trying to get a king of tone and if a fulltone 69 shows up somewhere i'd get that too

  • you are welcome hkp. Glad you like the setup!

pedalboard lacks isolated power circuits, and switching for bypass against the boss and mxr pedals.

also an effects order switcher for the delay would be awesome...a/b- before or after the wah.

  • Ya those would be cool...it's hard to stop changing your pedalboard around because it can always be improved...i buy a new pedal every month and i can't stop!!

  • @HKP1994 yea....i can stop...i just run out of money.
