You speak so true Jake, record companies don't want to record & release this kind of music. It seems they rarely want to sign anyone that can play anything at all ... so much sampling, looping, processing and surgical editing. As a recording engineer, I know this to be true because I see a lot of pass through the studios. I could listen to your arrangements and play all day long. Thanks sharing your talent with us..
I have purchased two of jakes videos already and I have to say..jake is not only a great p[layer but an excellent teacher, which is rare. They are very well done and worth every penny.I love the adding the arrangements to my gigs , and I do give credit to the arranger :-) Thanks jake!
Thanks for all your nice comments! Record companies aren't interested in this kind of music, it doesn't sell. I relay on whatever gigs I can get plus trying to sell some instructional videos, check 'em out... I'm glad you like the music!
I usually don't ask questions about guitars but I'm gonna make a exception with you, cause you sound absolutely wonderful. Is that an Ibanez artcore? and what strings do you use?
Thank you! It is an Artcore AG75. I use cheap (I buy bulk) strings, P12-16-20-W32-42-52. I also use a piezo pickup and blend a little in for some acoustic edge.
Those Lennon/McCartney songs really allow the player to take a musical journey and Jake Reichbart does that better than absolutely anybody. Amazing playing, comme toujours. Well done buddy.
