  • Iw been in that too and ofc i was aiming all aroundings whit it :) . that turret turns wery smoothly.

  • I know at first is the Internationale in Russian, but towards the end in 2:22 is that the Finnish version of the Internationale, the one sung by the "Punaiset" ?

  • To put it another way, the T-34 was a ‘war winning’ tank but this should not detract from the fact that at a tactical level its performance during four years of continuous war was relatively poor. If there was ever a case for not basing a tank’s overall combat power on over simplified parameters such as thickness and slope of frontal armour, and penetration of a single round from its main gun, then the T-34’s case is it.

  • Very cool. Can the public actually get in the tank and fool around like these guys? Where in Finland is this?

  • HI!

It is in southeastern Finnland near the city of Miehikkälä, close to the russian border. There is the salpa-linja museum.

Yes you can just sit in.....

  • nunjungs aus De? Bin total einsam wer hat lust zu schreibn

  • nerver forget: t34 crews are gulity of mass rapism and mass murdering in germany:

"prussian nights" by Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn a soviet capain reports the cruel of soviets against germans: The little daughters on the mattress, Dead. How many have been on it A platoon, a company perhaps? A girls been turned into a woman, A woman turned into a corpse. It's all come down to simple phrases: Do not forget! Do not forgive!

  • @dulle3000 Oh yea. Well germans killed 9 million russian civilians.

  • @MilitariaMan hey - come on - everyone told me the germans killed up to 20 million soviets. mybe this was a competition between stalin and hitler. stalin killed up to 30 million soviets. and hitler tried to reach this number....

  • Well no justification for war crimes but since the Germans did the same in Russia i guess you could say "What goes around comes around"

  • @cultofmao

so you think the federal republik can demand 5 euro for each kill in the soviet-union? you know - those 20 millions kills of the nazis had been no effort for stalin. so i think 5 euros are correct. russia must pay us 100 millions for german erfforts in the sense of stalin. correct!

  • Hello because i like Finland so much i ask some of you finish to start this crap and drive it over the border ..

Such trash in this beauty woody country

  • Yes, we do. Last time was one week ago. :) I am actually working at this museum at the moment.

But ofcourse the years have done the trick, and the interior is not in "brand new" condition. :) Plus it´s missing almos all the equipment from inside. But you´ve seen it, so you know it already.

  • good to know that people care about old metal as well.

Funny that you work there! We have our Mökki close to Lappeenranta. So I took my two friends there during a summer trip.

  • inside is a bit manky isnt it

  • It was quite alright. I guess they clean it every one a while

  • I am Infrantry, not Armor. I have all of those German songs from the 1930's, including Horst.

Those songs were LP records and perhaps illegal.

    They do have honour.

  • geil hab schon immer davon geträumt mal in nem 2.WK Panzer zu sitzen!.... Ihr Glückspilze^^

  • you just got to love this tank. i mean look at it. its a almost perfect piece of machinery. (like most russian stuff)

  • yeah man...you rigth but everyone thinks the t34 is a junk. not true good tank. :)

  • Wspaniały T34 pantery i tygrysy siadały przy nich....

  • yeah ptischko madre t34! and polnski fiat lol!

  • This T-34/85 were bought from Checkoslovakia in 1952. It took part in movies of the Stalingrad, Tali-Ihantala 1944 and several war documents.

So this tank is painted about 10 times. But why aren't there finnish markings now?

    Dunno...

But it is still operative except couple of problems...

  • because finnish marking in war years where finnish swasstika, and it got in un-good light after war...so thats why

  • The starting music is...disturbing. Otherwise good video. 4/5.

By the way, why are there no Finnish markings on this T-34? Is it certainly Finnish war booty?

  • I dont know the tank is at this musuem.... Maybe they captured it very smart. Using a lot of "sisu" ;-)

  • Ich suche panzer t-34 bis Erwerb. Qualität gut und schlecht.Ich wohne aus Polen

  • The music is funny, when you consider these were used against them.

  • Where t-34 used against the Russians by the Finnish?

  • yes, finns captured them during continua... war... and were proud to use them.

  • Hmmm interesting

  • It is in southeastern Finnland near the city of Miehikkälä, close to the russian border. There is the salpa-linja museum.
