What is this? It is pleasant, but forgetable. It seems misplaced for the time. If I was their manager I would have forced them to wear make up and glitter at gunpoint. Oh, and instead of that tinny tambourine we would have handclaps in the style of the Glitter Band, and stronger song too.

It's crap because it's a crap song which meanders aimlessly around an instantly forgetable chorus. I used to listen avidly to pop in the 1970s, but I can't recall this at all even though it was a hit.

They werent fuckin soulies, they were put together by Winstanley and Walker to rip some more money from the soulies, they werent happy to sell cheap pressings, 10,00 different badhes after they said they were only going to do a few, and trying to put Cleethorpes to rest by opening the Winter Gardens the greedy bastards! Well we all have our own tastes, and I knew the boys personally, my Dad used to fix their van, and they did put their Heart and Soul into what they did, and we loved them. They made me sick once, they brought us a case of tomatoes, and they were still green, but my brother and I sneaked into the back of the van and ate god knows how many.....not a good idea. Perhaps they had them for all you non likers to throw at them????

The same people who will only listen to The Invitations version, or Gloria Jones doing tainted Love and missing out on Soft Cell. By that thinking you wouldn't listen to "Money" by the Beatles, only Barratt Strongs version. Music is music is music. I don't think this is too bad at all!

Well if that's snobby then I glad to be one. I think you're missing the point. This was a put up job by a group created by record companies to cash in on the Northern scene. Its got about as much to do with Wigan or the Northern scene as The Chicken Song or Aga Do. Yeah music is music, you have your taste and I have mine.
