  • Good to see you don't let that stereotype of your parents basement stop you. Your moms romance novels in the background really helped add credibility. Not quite ready for the big world yet are you Arron. Men who live at home with their parents thru their twenties always end up successful.

  • @NCCAJAX Yeah, just post the link where youre part of an awsome news network. I wonder how often aaron sits on youtube flaming strangers?

  • What's with the trippy throbbing camera ? ? ? ? It makes me wanna smoke a junt.

  • hmmm i cant aaahhhh understand what he aahhh is saying ahhhh!!

  • Lol, Facebook has had the privacy option since LONG TIME AGO, which lets you categorize your friends and family in different groups and choose which groups or even SPECIFIC PERSONS see every single one of your status updates. This circles thing is NOT revolutionary. BS

  • uhhh

  • @SuperBastido nah real guys join but most dont really care bout em too much

  • Focus dam it focus.

  • facebook has had a way to categorize your friends, family, work, party friends, whatever you want to name the category. and when you post a status you pick and choose who sees it or doesnt. the problem is you have to remember what category you made and start typing them for auto complete. this isnt user friendly. thing is though, no matter how user friendly. people are lazy with meta. such as untagged mp3s when all you do is click a button to get the info during rip?

  • @SuperBastido the guys only join because the girls are there ;)

  • I can't wait for google+ to go public, coz am sick n tired of Facebook and I wish all my friends remain on Facebook

  • damn camera, focus for christ sakes

  • @SuperBastido i'm Nancy nice to meet you!:)

  • Also Google don't make money from the vast majority of their services. It's Google Adsense and Adwords that rake in the cash. It's what funds Android and other Google startups.

  • Google own 90% of the Internet. Also 96.4% of statistics are pulled out of your ass.

  • @SeanFerrol Calm down douchebag - it's hyperbole.

  • I know you were probably nervous doing this but PLEASE!!! focus on not saying um so many friggin times. I was interested but could not get around the annoying ums you were throwing out there. As an instructor I had some "catch" words that I had to work on. Practice in front of a mirror and pretend that camera is just another mirror.

  • @omga14 i take a valium if i ever have to address a large group of people, and then i give the impression of being really relaxed and easy going! :)

  • @omga14 I agree we should be more careful on how we communicate, but it's pretty easy to tolerate these things. Work on your rhetoric when you're addressing people who can't listen under their own willpower and need to be entertained at the same time to absorb the information (which seems to be people in crowds not being addressed personally). What I find interesting is listening to when people with these filler words stop using them for a few sentences--there are little bits of that in this.

  • btw its not hard to get an invite....once someone gets in...they can just invite anyone they want, and those ppl gets in. I tried out google+ and the only thing that matters is the "circles", other than that not much of a difference. However, im guessing because its a beta, you cant really post anything on someone's "wall"? i mean we can only see what they post....iono still trying it out, but its not that grand outside the "circles". remember the difference between facebook and myspace?

  • google wants a hand in all the cookie jars......

  • Face book is crap. Google+ is off to a good start. Myself, I can't wait until the

    "Cyber Wrold" launches.

w*osixs.org ---------- This is the future!

  • circles are not revolutionary...

  • you look like a child in the thumbnail

  • Epic FAIL Talking in CIRCLES~OOOOOOOOOOOO

  • Meh. Whatever.

  • I'll give Google+ a try; I deactivated my Facebook a while ago and have not needed it.

  • nice focus on the camera!

  • um um um uh uh um

  • facebook lets you select who you post to

circles are dumb because it's more like your own folder/organization than a public group

would be cool if you can make a public circle which they probably will have

they also have Sparks, which gives you news on specific subjects which i thought was pretty good

    lol your camera keeps adjusting

  • That's so weird... when I first started facebook, it was my only gripe with the system. I have politics friends, way-back-when friends, family... they all don't need feeds ... Now all I have to do is let the GoogleLords have complete access to my life and I'll have freedom!

  • @etzel33 i for one, welcome our google overlords....

  • At the end of the month, *ALL* Google+ profiles will be made public, permanently. If you do not accept the new terms, your account will be deleted. Fuck that.

  • How is not knowing what circle your in a minus? Why do you need to know? If you were allowed to know, the person could just make up a circle for douchebags called best friends. Don't see the point.

  • OMG. Seriously? It's already been said... 'facebook lists' is that very thing and it's been there forever. Dick.

  • Good review thanks bro.

  • What?! Facebook has "lists" for friends which you can restrict which list gets to see what you post on facebook. So in a sense it's similar to a circle because your mom wouldn't be seeing that post you don't want her to see but everyone else can. Kind of sad how not many people know how to use this feature, out of all my 600+ friends only like 10 people use facebook lists and it's so simple to use too.

  • @DivinePoWAR but everytime you add someone on gplus you have to add them to a circle. Circles are also more intuitive and plain nicer to look at. All of this counts.

When you share a post on Facebook you have to go into customize to really tweak it if you want very specific people to see the post. When you do this on gplus you have to specify what circle your sharing something with so it's right there. Both networks have the feature yes, but gplus does it nicer.

  • Bloggie touch?

  • what is that, highschool clicks???

  • i actually just started using facebook last night, i dislike that aspect.

  • is it true that Google is removing "non-person"/Company profiles on Google+?

  • man even though you sound like a cool guy, tech reviews aren't your thing. this was poorly done TYT.

  • To all the comments annoyed by his "uhh, umms, ands, soo, etc., give him some credit for winging it and impromptu , instead of reading off dummy cards or teleprompters. That's the trademark of TYT, they keep it REAL.

  • The invention of the car was revolutionary. The invention of the internet itself was also revolutionary.

Google creating circles is not a revolutionary idea.

  • this is just a simple concept... it's all just offshoots of AOL chat rooms

  • @Humaninsoul just like the president

  • @dillonfreed Like the former president. ;)

  • @Chaoitcme i don't think he'll get re-elected either ;)

  • Also, *ah* to be in *ah* it *ah*

but, the first downside you mentioned is actually a HUGE plus, if your boss at a new job asks if you are on g+ and sends you a "add me lol, it would be cool" then you just add him to douchebags and thats that, he's happy and thinks you are just not very active on g+

You seriously misunderstand why this is a huge plus.

  • I don't think they plan on making money off of it for a while. Their plan is probably to run it at a loss until everyone has migrated over to it and left facebook for dead, and then capitalize on the control they have over social media.

  • But if you're on Facebook, you can choose to hide things from people.
