I still don't get what's the real advantage of tessellation. They show us the flag in wireframe and say "this is the difference". Well, I think they're trying to fool us, since wireframe doesn't matter. If you set texturing on, you'll see that there's no almost difference. Who cares about the details of a flag when driving a car btw? The only interesting thing was the car going through the water but I guess that can be simulated without tesselation, with usual shaders only

Of course a ps3 with an LCD is more expensive than just a pc but when you factor in a monitor, decent graphics card, ram, a processor and a case you're in the same ballpark if not more.

The only reason why consoles runs games so good is because that it's cheap so more people have a console instead of an gaming pc, which means that they code they game so the console hardware works perfect with it, and then the company resell there game to pc and port it in a crappy way so better hardware is needed..

Actually a $50-80 GPU will be twice as powerful as the weak ass GPU in the PS3. PC games are alos $10-20 U.S cheaper per game than console games due to console licensing fees they kindly passed along to the consumers.

@eiroight No not really, even though the Dxdiag says 11 is installed, no nvidia card actually supports DX11 yet. If you want to know if your card is utilizing DX11, look for it's DDI version. DDI 10 = dx 10 and below, DDI 11 is DX 11.
