I think there should be a nationwide advertisement to people about driving safely around these trucks. And add it into a drivers ed video so people can undrstand what their risking when they drive reckless and careless around these trucks.

truckers will tell you about all the crazy 4-wheelers on the highway. and it's true. people are reckless and endanger everyone. but truckers drive 35-ton vehicles that kill on contact. they HAVE to be the best drivers out there -- and yet so many times I've had an 18-wheeler just 30 feet behind me on my tail at 65+ mph in the SLOW lane. every time i see a rig and a car, i wonder if the trucker was tailgating!

It's a fucking stupid law that no matter what the trucker is always at fault. Even my instructor was all fired up one day when it was one idiot after another. I remember one day I was at a stop sign about to make a left turn and some moron passed me on the left to make that same turn. People are fucking idiots and should have common sense.

look you insensitive mother fuckers. that could have been somebody's husband who didn't come home that night, somebody's father who can't take them to or from school now, someone's brother who can't be there to help through the struggles of life...and that could have easily been your father/husband/brother. @123MIURA As a new truck driver let me give you a tip. As long as the cars don't do anything stupid or reckless around a big truck then there should not be anything to worry about. It's common sense and apparently most accidents involving a CMV is caused by some moron who either swerves around or cuts off a CMV. These trucks can't stop on a dime like most people think.

Why is the dead body under the yellow tarp ? That is so stupid ! Why hasn't the ambulance already picked it up and taken it to the hospital and not around where people can see it .. I hate when this happens at a accident .. I was in New Jersey and the same thing happened and they still had the interstate open where people could just come right by the crash and see two dead bodies from the motorcycle crash .. It's like seriously, there are thousands of people including children that see that.

@cwshere1 Sadly, many of these accidents are caused by shear stupidity, drugs or inexperience. I feel bad for the innocent lives lost, but isn't it amazing how the driver at fault seemly always survives.

@aquasparky spoken like someone who doesn't know what he's talkin' about. the railroads are all bankrupt, have been for 30 years. they are in business only because the government subsidises them. railroad workers deal with bouncing payroll checks, & defective equipment all the time. while truckers make a slim living by getting the cargo from point A to point B which is the whole point of transport anyway. think about that the next time you see some million dollar commercial for a railroad.
