If your going to go on tour with Zep songs in your show why not do it with Zeppelin?Never heard this girl before until I checked out the reason why Plant is messing up the reunion. She is an excellent singer with undoubted talent for what she does. But nothing Ive heard from them comes within the same relm of what Zeppelin could do. Its 6 months for a world tour - nothing new to be learned. I wish Plant would just stop being such a self centered stick in the mud and give his fans what they want.

same here! to all those that criticize Plant for what he does is like a basketball fan who gives up on their team when they lose in the NCAA tournament....I love zep, plant solo, and all he does forever.

I completely agree - he kvetches about zeppelin all the time, but go see him live & 25-45% of each show is zep material. The music to which was written by the other 3 guys in the band.

You wouldn't say the things you do if you have heard them perform this song live! I just saw them in Nashville and the show was mesmerizing. To be honest I am more of a Robert Plant fan than Allison Krauss but they are great together. Try to see them live and you might rethink your feelings. I hope you can see them. Peace

I didn't mean anything bad towards krauss (props to her on battle of evermore), i'm just saying i think this is a bad way to do this song. i just think its ridiculous that plant is putting led zeppelin (the band that f***ing made him!) on hold to go do country stuff, which i don't think is exactly his forte.

zeppelin didn't make plant, plant made zeppelin, and this new reunion tour/album they've decided to do is going to suck without the voice of led zeppelin. i think plant made a great choice, though, in going "country" as you call it. i, personally, consider it more bluesy and folksy than country and i think his voice is an amazing one for the genre. but hey, you've got your opinion, i've got mine. everybody's got 'em...just like everybody's got assholes...

I completely agree that it would suck without Plant, that's why i wish he wasn't with Krauss right now. I really want for there to be a Zep reunion, but only with everyone there. Zep is greater than the sum of it's parts, however great the individual members are. And after listening to more of the original material that Plant/Krauss are making, i don't mind it so bad. Still, Plant please do a reunion tour! Hell, bring Krauss with you if its so important to you!

This version of Black Dog is absurd. The previous 4 commenting people must be Krauss fans and are happy to see her collaborate with a legend. No fan of Led Zep would go for this travesty. Plant and Yoko Krauss need to stop massacreing Led Zep.

I was there too. I've thought about this a lot, and reckon that was pretty much the best gig I have ever been to in 35 years. Ever. Everyone was at the height of their very considerable powers. T-Bone ran the whole thing as bandleader - respect! Oh, and by the way Madonna, it was £35 plus fee, an old fashioned concept called 'value for money'.
