kiddo, no need for fast zooming, u will just get dirty image..
go on tripod, set slow shutter, very low aperature, about f11-16, press the shutter, and slowly zoom in/out.. plus, you'll get a bit of hdr effect too ;)
actually its a cool trick. but would cause damage to your lens specially the its AF motor. you could just do it with a post processing software just like Photoshop. Much better than damaging your lens. But I've learned something here.

Very artsy haha If you want to get the pro version of this look chack put Lens Baby. They're the only lenses that (I know of) can move left/right.

again, you could for example use AF to focus, switch to MF and take the pic while fucking with your lens :)

Of Course You can choose each other exposure.
