  • c.1981 Thursday night, down the 'splade (aka The Esplanade) Devonport AK. Me, Mike & Rory & about 8 random others, no BS. These guys come out, about 7 of 'em, in full military garb, brass, big sounds, the works. First AK gig. Full show for all 10 of us. Blown away. Friday night:, we're there again, too good to miss. About 60-80 people fronted. Saturday: there again, the word has spread & the 'splade is packed to over capacity - it rocked - That was NDT's first 3 gigs in AK back in the day.

  • Graham is an executive for British Gas. Malcolm Black is an entertainment lawyer, and an artist and repertoire manager for Sony Music. Nick, he has helped set up the Auckland office of brand design company DNA.

  • Sorry, if you didn't already know, Malcolm was the lead singer of NDT.

  • Fantastic blast from the past! Love the horn section. This of course was the song that launched Annie's career, and was that Kim also singing bv??? Love those check shirts, very 80s, and what a nice-looking bunch of good clean kiwi blokes. Whatever has become of them?

  • Malcolm Black was a law student at Otago when this song was released. He worked as an entertainment lawyer in Auckland for a few years. Last I heard he was in a management position with Sony NZ. That was a couple of years ago though, so he may have moved on. Can't help you with the others sorry.
