straight up i'm not even indian but it pisses me off that people put pictures of the taj mahal in with classic hindu music... not to be a jerk i'm just saying get ur facts straight ya kno?
I think modern day arts should be interpreted in modern day language. Past historical relics should not be imposed on new works of art. It is to an extent showing ignorance of or disrespect to new artistic expressions.
With a raag called pahari a picture of Taj Mahal is quite inappropriate. I have seen quite a few such desperate attempts by some YouTube uploaders to throw in the picture of Taj Mahal with as many classical music as they possibly can. I wonder why they do that? Mughalifying modern day arts?
Late Pandit Nikhil Banerjee's life was a spiritual journey with sitar. I am a great fan of him since my adolescence and each time I hear him playing it lifts me to a heavenly blissful feeling which is bery difficult to explain. Unlike many artists blowing their own trumpets, he always endeavoured to show humility and always excelled in expressing the spiritual side of the Indian classical music. He once said "Indian Classical music which does not fully express the spiritual aspect is no music"
thx so much xenonew..this was the first work by Nikhil i clicked on and have been in love ever since..now the proud owner of 2 cd's..i cherish every note..timeless..peace
Love Pahadi as a melody thanks for the upload but its always nice to mention who the tabla player is , (if you know) after all they are the other half of the act !
