Glad I referenced the song you covered first...but you nailed the cover. Me personally I think you have a much better singing voice than Johnny Cash and I would try a version with more feeling and expression because although I don't feel you have to live a life of pain to sing the blues...I do feel we all have highs and lows...try to tap into a time when you were sad...then sing.
