  • once u started there is no turnind back. a little 10 year old girl was raped and murdured in 1945. her body was not found until 1947. then a boy last week read this and did not copy and paste this message. the dead girl appeared in his room haunting him and killed hin. if ou do not copy and paste this onto 10 videos in 30 minutes the dead girl will appear in your room tonight and haunt you and kill you. well you better start to copy and paste if you want to be saved

  • Bride on a budget :) didnt you get te cake for free, sponsored the dress etc.

  • Funny... U affirm u're a bride on a budget, however u were able to throw this peculiar angagement party, saying is was not with the intention of maketing for that specific clothing brand. Don't get me wrong, I'm not hating, I actually love what u do here on YT, I just think is rude of u to deny it when it is so obvious. Just saying.

Btw... Truly sorry if I'm wrong.

  • I got my invitations at Michael's (the ones from Brides Magazine). I printed them myself with the exact font/color I wanted and I added a stamp to personalize it further. A vendor told me that invitations are one of the things you should spend the least amount of stress and money on and now I agree. I felt I had to make them grand because it was the preview for my guests but the bottom line is they will just read the info and then throw it away. It's as simple as that.

  • etsy is always great for wedding stuff....actually for just about anything.

  • maybe you could make your own invatations for your wedding

  • Let me clarify this again: If a person wants an extravagant wedding & THEY CAN AFFORD IT I don't see anything wrong with it. BUT if you can NOT afford a huge wedding it's not a big deal!!!! why? because a wedding isn't about cakes, diamonds, flowers ect ... It's about 2 people who love each other, who vow to be with each other forever. I'm not trying to be judgmental at all. Material things fade.

  • @RebeccaLaurel im not saying a big wedding is wrong !!!!! you're reading my comment wrong. what im saying is if you can afford one fine ... but if you can't you shouldn't be trying to take out a huge loan to cover something you can't afford. all those extra things are just that EXTRA. a person shouldn't beat themselves up or go crazy over frivolous things that really don't matter. I am in no way trying to be judgmental I'm just stating my opinion

  • she reminds me of a woman you can snuggle up with and watch movies.

  • micheals store alot of good stuff

  • Oh and a few other helpful tips. For brides going overseas before their wedding you can always get your dress made while you are away on holiday. I know a few ppl who have weather it be in Vietnam or Philippines it was much cheaper. If you want a lavish wedding I know a couple who went to Bali to have their dream wedding and every bit was breath taking. I hope my ideas helped I speak to brides on a daily basis and I don't even work in a bridal store.

  • One other suggestion I would make is never tell a business that you are shopping for your wedding. Reason being the price will always go up. I know this from serving so many brides on a budget. I would give you names of some fashion boutiques but I live in Australia so it would be no use to you. But I think this secret is priceless just like your wedding to be. Also at your reception only invite adults instead of kids that wil keep the price per head down and go to a glam accessory store.

  • I work in fashion retail were we sell a lot of evening or special event dresses. I always get brides coming in shopping for their bridesmaid outfits or for even their own wedding dress. Any store that specifically caters for weddings are going to be pricey. If you or your bridesmaids have specific needs then I would suggest searching for an experienced seamstress. My mum had her own business and depending on the amount of work the brides dress would cost from $600.

  • for me and my husbands wedding we bought the blank invitations from wal mart with the design we wanted and we typed them up on Word and printed them off that way. i believe they are $25 for a box of 50 invitations, and that includes the envelopes that go with them. congratulations and happy planning! :)

  • you made it on my b-day

  • the only thing i would spend money on is the place where my wedding would be held, food, drinks and all that

  • what happen to ur plan in having the wedding invitations made in the Philippines???

  • Congrats!!!

  • 123print and vistaprint they are good websites

  • hey doll, how many people are you planning on having at your wedding? my friend personally made her own. It was time consuming but very easy to do.

  • You're adorable. I wish I was marrying you.

  • Have you considered ordering your invitations from asia? I ordered mine from Vietnam while I was there. They were absolutely goregous and jasmine scented, I think I got like 700 for $150 or something like that., I would imagine they would have nice ones for cheap in the Phillipines too! Good luck!

  • JULLIIEEE CONGRADULATIONNSSS!!

  • I can definitely vouch for making your own invitations. We did (we bought some of the kits, you can find them at Hobby Lobby, Wal Mart, anywhere like that and it usually has a website to show you how to make them for free) and they turned out well enough for me to want to frame it still. No one could tell we made it! Also, we had our wedding at 2:30 so it was between meals, so we weren't expected to actually feed guests a whole meal, just cake and snacks! Saved a tone of money that way!

  • have a family member or close friend make the food!!!!!!!!! stick to a bidget and STAY UNDER IT!!!!!!! consider: if i save on this i can spend more on that

  • Make your own invitations on word. Buy some cardstock (very cheap) and word and publisher have some great templates!

  • printing your own is usually cheaper. you can buy great stuff in the scrapbooking aisles of your local craft store. embossing is easy, stamps, layering, etc. Good luck!!

  • my sister and her husband printed their own invitations...They put one of their favorite pictures (where they r together) on the front and pretty much photoshoped the rest (made background, design and stuffs) and not only it looked even more special and unique since they've put their own work in to it, but i still have mine as a lil souvenir!

  • do you realize that u and dulce candy is having ur wedding around the same time. maybe you two should get advice from each other on being on a bride on a budget

  • Try Etsy.com!!!

  • call of wedding you will be happier

  • @beast36001 omggg.

  • Don't marry him your to cute LOL Marry me.. hahaha

  • um i have a website that you can go to for pretty cheap invatations ill send it in a message cause it wont let me post it here. :) hope it helps!

  • Make em!!!

Step 1: Take a awesome picture.

Step 2: Print it out at mpix.com (I use that site to order prints for my costumers and its AWESOME and CHEAP!)

Step 3: Buy an invitation kit at Kinko's or Hobby Lobby

Step 4: Add lettering at Kinko's

Step 5: Attach your photo or just place in envelope

DONE!!!, I've done this for many friends.... under $100!!!

  • My parents told me the most important rule of getting married: Don't spend a lot of money on the wedding, save it for the honey moon.

    Brilliant advice.

  • i hate when peoples white teeth make the white in their eyes look yellow

  • I printed my own wedding invitations, bought the templates at target and printed them at home and mailed them out. We got married at a friends house instead of the courthouse and just had our close family and friends attend. How much did it cost me? About $10 for the invitations and my friend paid for all the food and services as a gift.

  • We got married at the courthouse, thats about as thrifty as you can get.

  • Make the invitations in the Philippines lol

  • Someone mentioned Michaels for invitations. You can google "printable Michael's coupon March 2011" (or something of that nature) and find 40% off a single item coupons. There are always coupons available. Congratts and good luck! :)

  • you should watch e channel lifestyle there are alot ... of ways to do beautiful weddings

  • I purchased my wedding invitations at Michaels, they have the DIY kits. you can add your own special touches to them as well. I bought some craft stuff from the dollar store to add on to the invitation as well. I saved a lot of money doing it that way!

  • Dulce Candy is getting married too! Aww I wish you both the best!

  • My brother is getting married this summer as well and I've been helping out his finance get ready for the wedding. For Save the Date cards she just made them into postcards instead of cards inside of envelope, which was a lot quicker and much cheaper. She bought some formal invitations at Target that we will mail out closer to the wedding. They were really cute and cheaper too, but still good quality.

    Oh and congratulations!!! :)

  • YOUR TEETH ARE SO WHITE!

  • i've made invitations through adobe photo shop. Printed it out through a copy business (don't go to kinkos). It comes out how you like it and sometimes they give you free envelopes to come with it.

  • Hey Judy! You should watch 'Rich Bride Poor Bride' on Slice, they show money saving tips and more.

  • good luck!

  • i went and bought my own flowers for the wedding at costco for 300 bucks and that was enough for all the table arangements, my bouquet, the bridesmaids (4) and the flower girls oh and i had 40 guest tables ... my idea: dont show off and u will save thousands cuz ppl like to show how rich they r n go bankrupt on wedding

  • Hello fellow bride! We are set to wed on May. Do you guys have bridesrally? It's almost like a groupon for us brides....

  • Diy invitation you can buy the kit at michael's and print it yourself at home it will look very expensive.. But it will probably be less than a dollar for one... Plus michael's always have the forty percent off coupon...

  • well you can obviously do your own hair and makeup...so that saves a TON of money! :) <3

  • aww why didnt u get the invitations done in the philippines.. it wouldve cost only about 200 dollars or maybe less

  • check out orientaltrading website, they have some wedding items for cheap.

and i think its better to just do your invitations and print it out at wal-mart or any photo center.

you should just rent table cloths and draperies instead of buying.

hope that helps and good luck with your wedding planning.

  • One of the most inexpensive and simple things I did to spruce up the tables at my reception was to print out 4x6ish size regular copy paper with really romantic, or love themed quotes. I sprayed the back of them with spray adhesive and stuck them to 8x11 card-stock that was folded in half, so it could stand up on the table. I used a card-stock in one of the main colors of my wedding. so many people loved them and they were so cheap and last minute.

  • Also if you buy your wedding dress @ David's Bridal they will give you extra discount on the invitations. If you're looking for a dress, I'm selling mine, I bought mine @ David's Bridal last summer. It is a size 2, and was altered to fit a petite 110-120 pound 5'2" female. If you fall under that range and not planning on wearing heels it will fit perfectly. Email me if you're interested.

  • David's Bridal offers great deals on invitations, we paid under $100 for 100 invitations and they looked beautiful!! I skipped out on their precut ribbon and bought my own @ Michaels. I also bought unity candle and wedding favors boxes @ Michaels, check out their weekly deals and use their 40% off any one regular priced item coupon. I made few trips but I saved a lot of money there :D

  • Hi Judy! I am a wedding planner down in Portland :) Please let me know if you need any help with anything! I work with a ton of really great vendors! I know of an amazing graphic designer that could do some custom work for you for really inexpensively! Let me know if you need any help planning :)

  • @suppvee i agree! lol. people are completely twisting what she's saying!!!

  • for my wedding, i did everything i possibly could DIY. take advantage of every talented family member or close friend! :) we had a family friend who has a photography business doing our photo's, she cut her normal price in half. a friend made our cake as our wedding gift and my fantastically talented cousin helped with all the floral arrangements! i also bought my dress as the sample. luckily i'm thin and it needed no alterations, so the bridal shop gave me a discount on it.

    good luck!

  • @alizarta Thanks Girl !!! <3 We are VERY happy....with a baby on the way lol ;)

  • @SthefanieandMitch wow congrats!!! wish the three of you all the best! take care :)

  • seriously, a wedding isn't about having a fancy dress, flowers, a 5 course meal, diamonds. a wedding is a religious ceremony where 2 people vow to be with one another, forever. so what im trying to say is ... you can have a wedding with 50 dollars ... people really lose sight about what's important

  • @iluvpinkandgold The only reason people want it to be extravagant is because it's probably going to be one of the happiest days of your life and you want it to be something to remember ans share stories about. That's all.

  • @LittleBirdArlines sweetie you can get married in a tent (and im talking about one of those small tents) and it still be the happiest day of your life because you're marrying the love of your life. there's nothing wrong with having an extravagant wedding IF you can afford it. but it you have to take out a second mortgage just to pay for a wedding ... well that means your priorities aren't in order

  • @iluvpinkandgold No, you're not getting my point. My point was it's all in personal preference. You may feel that way, but that's not the case with everyone else. I was simply saying that's the thinking and reasoning behind why people try to go so extravagant. It doesn't mean it's right or wrong. It's personal choice.

  • @iluvpinkandgold well just because someone wants a big wedding, doesn't mean they 'lose sight about what's important'. who are you to judge people based on their preference. A wedding is a very special moment in someone's life and different people will have different preferences as to how they want to celebrate it. However they decide they want it to take place, doesn't make it any less meaninful.

  • @oOStarsAndStripesOo im not saying a big wedding is wrong !!!!! you're reading my comment wrong. what im saying is if you can afford one fine ... but if you can't you shouldn't be trying to take out a huge loan to cover something you can't afford. all those extra things are just that EXTRA. a person shouldn't beat themselves up or go crazy over frivolous things that really don't matter. I am in no way trying to be judgmental I'm just stating my opinion.

  • @iluvpinkandgold k, i guess i see where you're coming from. it's just when you said 'people lose sight about what's really important', that's what got to me. sorry, i wasn't trying to be rude.

  • @iluvpinkandgold I agree that that is the basic and most important thing but it's also about a family celebration and one of your most cherished day so for that you'd want something a little bit special. ofcourse it doesn't have to be super extravagant and super expensive..that's why brides like Judy&others are on a budget - they don't want the special day to bankrupt them but want it to be a beautiful day for all..

  • @season00 there's nothing wrong with that ... what upsets me is when people stress over not having moeny to purchase little things and lose sight of whats really important..

  • @iluvpinkandgold yup that's true, I actually knew a girl from work who took out a LOAN to fund her reception... aint that crazy??..

  • @iluvpinkandgold oh and a simple lunch outing with just my family (there's 6 of us) would cost more than 50 dollars..so at a wedding, there's be relatives and friends - people that you love.

50 dollars wedding? how do you do that? :)

  • @season00 if that's all someone could afford they can make it work

  • @iluvpinkandgold I think it is other people who put alot of pressure on you to go all out and to keep everyone else happy. My fiance proposed to me in May and we decided to get married in May of 2012 but he was worried that he wouldn't be able to give me a big princess wedding and was pushing himself to work all the hours under the sun until I explained to him that I really didn't care about all that and I would happily marry him anywhere any time! So were keeping it really small :-) xx

  • i think that if you have to ask and seek ways to save money on a wedding then take it as a sign that you probably can't afford to have a wedding. After all the glamour and glitz they will end up with a bill that may take a few years to pay off.

  • VistaPrint(dot)com prints really nice Wedding Invitations. They are pretty inexpensive too :) Congratulations!

  • VistaPrint(dot)com prints reallt nice Wedding Invitations. They are pretty inexpensive too :) Congratulations!

  • Thank you so much for this, i was watching their vid on saving for a wedding , and omg its realy helping me get a lot of weight off my shoulders, im getting married in june, and only got engaged this month, because im having a baby, everything is on fast forward, so i dont have much time to save or plan :S, but their tips did help alot :) ty!

  • if you have extra time, DIY your wedding invitations. I saw invitation packages at michael's and i think that's what im doing for my wedding :) and buy lots of ink cartridges so you can print them at home :) good luck and have fun!

  • get everything from the phillipines

  • OMG!!! Your teeth look so white!!!! Did u bleach them???

  • I got married last year and I bout invites at target they had some wedding ones for $26.00 and I just printed my own on my computer :) they turned out really cute! U can also try micheals for the Martha stewart lines of wedding stuff

  • you can make your own wedding invetation just go to office store

  • michael's arts and crafts!! they have a whole section of wedding things you can buy

  • do as much stuff as u can urself and ur bridesmaids if they can help one of my bridesmaids my best friend is very creative and crafty she made my centerpieces, my cake, i bought flowers and she assembled my bouquet i didnt have a big wedding though there were very few ppl for the actual wedding most ppl came for the reception but if u or a friend are into arts n crafts hav them help doing things my sisters fiance is a photographer so he took care of that. i was very lucky

  • I'm getting married this summer too! ^_^

  • So excited for you guys. If you guys need a photographer ... my hubby is one. he's amazing ... lol. not just because I said so ...but he really is. He'll give you guys a great deal !!!!

  • I got married 2 years ago and tried to do as much diy stuff as possible, you can still do it yourself and have it be super cute. we got our invites from Michaels, you print them out and put them together yourself, it does take time and some work but def worth it in the end. My husband and I did them just by ourselves and it was a great bonding experience too to have him involved :) We also made our own programs, it's inexpensive and saves money for the other touches :) Good luck doll!

  • Comment removed

  • We got our invites from Micheal's (you print them yourself) and got about 130 for just over 100 dollars. They have many different price ranges and many that look letter pressed! Also, I was just at Target and they also have print your own invites that look letter pressed and are on clearance right now (like 70% off!)

  • U should go to an art academy and ask who wants to design a invitation:D

  • Check with unusual venues to save on the location. Grand hotels and vineyards tend to cost more, so look for historic homes/estates, local landmarks, and museums for interesting alternatives. (I know someone who saved $2,000 by going with a historic estate over the grand hotels and churches in the area.) Also, consider offering just one or two alcoholic beverage options. If you don't want to do a cash bar, people can at least save you some on the tab by having limited options. :)

  • congratulations on getting married!!! i can imagine it can get hectic preparing for a big day .. maybe you can make your own invitations and have your personal touch to the wedding decor!

  • Girl ! You need to do AS MUCH as possible on your own :) My husband and i got married last September and we had absolutely NO money :) I made mine and my bridesmaids bouquets from Silk flowers, had my wedding outdoors, and told my girls to wear whatever cute summer dress they wanted :) Be creative and remember you don't want to get in debt over your big day ;) you can go check out pictures of my big day on my blog, scroll to the bottom and you'll see it ! GOOD LUCK <3 tractorbee.blogspot.com

  • @SthefanieandMitch i went to check your wedding pics! you looked amazing! it was simple but yet the effect was there. and you looked so happy with your husband. congrats!

  • Judy, could you please keep doing wedding diy videos? I'm in the same boat and I could use some advice :)

  • make your own invites! I did ours and its so much cheaper!

Hire a DJ not a band, my husband is a DJ and its alot cheaper

serve a buffet instead of a course meal

Do a cupcake tower instead of gigantic cake

Have a friend do photography..if you know someone who is going to school for it, give out disposable cameras during the receiption/dance- those are real fun pictures

msg me if you want any more ideas! I've got a TON

  • I'M YOUNG AND I'M GETTING MARRIED TOO WE'VE DECIDED TO GET MARRIED IN OUT PARENTS BACKYARD SAVED US 7,000 DOLLARS ON CHAPEL AND RECEPTION HALL GOOD LUCK ON YOUR UNION AND CONGRATS!

  • love your vids

  • GO TO MICHAELS THEY HAVE TONS OF INVITATIONS U JUZ HAV TO PRINT IT OUT URSELF...

  • Omg your teeth are so white I love it. What do you use

  • @Pang559 she has a video where she talks about her teeth (:

  • My husband and I made our own invitations, and I loved them, and they were probably around $50. I went to Michael's craft store and they have blank ones, some have a satin looking border too which we got, and they have some even with colored borders now I believe. We just downloaded a nice font to our computer, and printed them ourselves, and I punched 2 holes on top center and put a ribbon w/ a knot. They were simple but pretty and modern. U can also print a design or image if u want too

  • omg judy, you are too cute! & im so happy for you and benji i hope your wedding turns out exactly the way you planned it, if not better. <3

  • Hey, the wedding is not about how much money you will spend do do not worry about it too much. The most important thing is loooove, everything else will follow. Good luck!

  • i had a few friends that made their own invitations... As in, designed and printed them at home.. They weren't fancy-pancy, but still looked nice :) Bottom line is, not a whole lot of people (if any at all) will keep them.. so why bother spending ton of money on something that will be be thrown away anyway?.... :S

  • my cousin just recently got married, and her wedding was super gorgeous! i won't say the exact amount her wedding was, but when i found out, i was seriously surprised because i thought it was a lot more than that!

the key to getting a budget friendly wedding is doing a lot of the stuff yourself. for instance, all of the decorations, she bought and she asked if my cousins and i who are not bridesmaids to decorate. she also did the flower arrangements herself and made the invitations herself!

  • u can make ur own invitations judy :)

  • my wedding invites were not so expensive, less is more for me. Maybe thats why they were relatively inexpensive. I did my own ribbon because it wouldhave costed a lot more if the invites came with it

  • OMG this is soo helpful! I'm getting married in May and things are getting waaaay outta control :S thanks for this!!

  • My mom is a wedding planner she makes all the table adorments if that what they are called lol by hand the flower arangments table arangments also. If your looking for help in specific areas let me kno and i can get ideas from her for you. I think she makes invitations also. please let me kno.

  • Vera Wang's new wedding dress line are also all under $1000 (or so I've heard). You should check them out, depending on your budget.

  • You should make em yourself and have them printed at Office Depot or Staples or something; whichever gives you the best price.

  • take my mom shopping with you! she'll get all your things at wholesale prices lol

  • my local walmart has some really nice invitation kits

  • yes girl Dollar tree has alot of cute little things for weddings. Im having my one yr anniversary this april..and hear m=out the voice of experience. buy your DIY kit for invitations and if you visit the dollar tree they have stuff for about everything. I did my wedding favors and i got some stuff for my bridal party thank god we had ppl from our families that were willing to help but we still did quite some spending our selfs.

  • Target has a very nice selection of wedding invitations, and their elegant too:)

  • Hey Hey. Im getting married in August, we went to buisness depot bought an wedding invitation DIY kit for around 40$ and they looked really good. Other those have DIY invitations, like craft stores.

  • dollar tree has cute little wedding accesories.. check it out1

  • check out cotsco! they have a lot of thing for weddings!

  • I am getting married next year ... we bought our invitations on sale and had them printed ourselves - they already look gorgeous! We also punched and threaded silver ribbon through the top ourselves to cut back cost and bought little diamond crystals at the craft store ... we saved a TON on invites just doing what most would pay a bundle for..... ourselves! do NOT waste a lot of money on invites .... they get thrown out!!

  • @BaAZiGar Biggest day of her life? well she doesnt need to be poor after that. You're a butthole. She's not saying that shes not going to spend any money at all.

  • @BaAZiGar We aren't cheap. We just want to be able to do the most with our money.

  • @BaAZiGar we FILIPINO's are not cheap we are just smart on how we spend our money...

  • @BaAZiGar You REALLY need to watch what you say. Your coming off as a racist. I'm white and tried my best to do my own diy wedding. Hmm 20-40 thousand dollars in debt because of one day? OR able to own a couple of houses at the age of 24. Do the math. Trust me..being smart with your cash goes a long way

  • @BaAZiGar ..raciest are you

  • i got mine made in vietnam...they were way cheaper and i was able to get the exact style and colour i wanted. maybe look into getting invitations done in the phillipines?

  • I got my dress at Davids bridal Right after the $100 rush. It was the last one in any size and it just happened to be mine. I only planned on trying dresses on not buying, but for $100 dollars and the last sz 2, in the style, plus it was The dress I had to get it. You should definately check there. I also bouth my reception dress at maurices for $40.

I got my invitations at wal-mart. You buy a kit instore then you go online and customize and print them. Every one though they were professional.

  • Okay. May I suggest David's Bridal if you still need a dress, they have some that are actually really pretty (or atleast still should) for $100 and less. Also, if anyone has a Cricket the machines that cut out shapes and things that you could borrow, you can make some very pretty invitations. Hope this Helps!

  • Hey Im also getting married but in Feb 2012 so im also trying to do it low budget, during the day in a garden. Thanks for making this video.

  • Judy, I saw on TV several years ago where some bride on a budget went looking for sponsors to help pay for her wedding. She allowed them to advertise their products and got a lot of the sponsors products and services for a very low price or complementary! I don't know all of the particulars but just a thought.

  • i bought my invites at wal-mart...they where simple yat classy. Then i took them to a printing company and told the exactly what i wanted on them. The invites where $50 and to print it was $40. so $90 is'nt bad

  • I find that there are a few tricks too help you out :) ... A lot of craft stores offer a variety of quality inexpensive stationary and invitations, and there is usually coupons in local papers ... so you can get them on a good budget. Also make your own center pieces ... a decorative glass bowl with water, floating candles and some submerged stones and flower petals is a pretty, elegant and inexpensive (easy too do) center piece :) ... and you can find it all at walmart or craft stores!

  • There are all kinds of amazing wedding invitation kits at craft stores. They can even be put right in your printer and look just like they have been ordered!!

  • you can actually make your own invites for very cheap. a lot of stationary stores have nice fancy looking paper which you can print yourself on your computer. its great because you can design it exactly how you want and personalize it. most computer programs have great templates and designs to add. my cousin did that for her wedding last year : )

  • I hope you invite us , Your subscribers ! :O haha :D

  • Hi! I just wanted to show you one of my favorite websites that I got tons of cute ideas from. :) It is weddinggawker (dot)com/ I hope that you enjoy it. :)

  • discount dress, have your bridesmaids make their own bouquets (i learned how to do it on youtube and taught my bridesmaids after the rehearsal dinner - they thought it was a lot of fun and loved having their own unique bouquets!), find a friend to make a cake, ask relatives and friends to help with the music. I did it last year for under $2,000 - it can be done! :)

  • Take a look at the "Hostess with the Mostess" blog. I thought the "Breakfast at Tiffanys" bridal shower that a person had for her sister was so pretty. Check it out.

  • I also helped my sister with her wedding. She got a beautiful dress at DB $99 sale, she went on craigslist for her makeup and 5 bridesmaids and mom for I think $ 150 and she got two student photographers for $300 dollars from morning till 11pm her DJ was also a craigslist find. Her cake she got at walmart and it tasted great no one could tell, she was lucky to get a venue that allowed outside food so her food was catered by her grand mother in law

  • judy i just got married 4 months ago, the expense was ... well a lot, but places

where you can save for sure is with flowers, catering, and even the dress if you're willing to negotiate a deal or nag them a lot. I'm not saying it always works but you can at least give it a try, worked for me! And telling the seller that you will recommend their wares to other brides-to-be also helps! • Hubby and I went out celebrating to some clubs/ bars our own after party. Two years later and I still hear from our guest what a great time they had. Being a budget bride is possible, you just need to know what you need, versus what you want, and that will save you a lot.

Since it was a small wedding we did the reception at a Italian place called Bucca de Beppos, which serve family style entrees. There was no DJ or anything fancy but it was great for us and very intimate. Then afterwards the bridal party, hubby a

  • Hey Judy, Have you tried going to a Arts & Craft Store *Michaels* & getting the invitations there & just printing your own....??

  • Judy, I am in the midst of planning my wedding. The knot.com has tons of offers from vendors in your area if you sign up for their flyers online. Have fun :)

  • I had about 220 people at my wedding, and we printed our own invitations. My advice is to not splurge on the invites - people throw them out anyway. We used generic ivory cardstock and a laser printer (a must for mass printing), and with the help of friends/family we stuffed/addressed the envelopes. The writing was in a cursive font so it still looked elegant. If you do do this, just remember to only print 50 or so at a time, or the printer gets too hot and melts the ink. Hope that helps!
