  • Hey how long did the 360 last for?

  • how long dose xbox last that is the qesten

  • I just did this to a friends xbox 360. He had the RROD too and I baked it like he did but with just towels and foil. No tape was needed. The chips were exposed only and the underside where they are. The board was placed directly on the oven rack. Looked like a foiled doughnut. I had the oven for 500F for the first 5 mins of baking and turned it to 400F for the other 5 mins. Pulled it out and let it cool and reassembled the xbox and it worked great. I do not know how long it will last though.

  • So this worked for me. LOL ?!? After like 10 seconds my alluminum tape started to come loose. I was like fuck this. So i went to play black ops at smell distance from the oven. Then after i let it cool down for like 2 hour. I unwrapped it and ALL of the caps were intact. I quickly did my x clamp fix and hooked it up. Started the xbox. And it the screen remained black. I replugged the cables and shit still nothing, So i gave up. When i came back i realised the tv was on av 1 instead of av 2. XD

  • with no thermal past ! its cooking ur chips underneath the board !

  • in the part where you try to see if it works !!!

it got hot not because it still hot ! it got hot because the GPU and CPU chips without heatsinks get really hot!

i mean burn ur fingers hot dude !

and oh you you are banned from xbox live so congratz !

  • reflowing works but PLEASE DO NOT walk across carpet or place your PCB on a carpet EVER!

  • Ahaha :D you should have put the heatsinks on! :D

  • Sorry not to coat your video off .But where is that anti static bag to rest that pcb on as carpets and pcbs do not like each other

  • Sorry guys for ignoring the comments, I was doing some things and now am able to respond to any and all comments.

    POST AWAY

  • Didn't work for me, did everything exactly as you did and now i get the 2/4 overheat ROD with that initial fan speed up. any solutions, anyone?

  • Hi I tried doing the oven fix but had no results... can I do it once more is there anything else you think I could try.., need help...

  • if you do it yourself you can mess it up

    but sony charge £130

    i gave it to

ppc-fix.webs.com (only if you live in england)

    and i only paid £30

  • Holy Shit! I was a little skeptical while I was doing it and a little scared I totally fucked my xbox, but it fucking worked. Ususally to get my xbox to turn on I have to heat up and cool doen the gpu then it MIGHT start. After this fix I just reassembled and it came on the first try. THANK YOU!! You ARE the MAN!!!!

  • Will this work with the ram error? 0110 error code? I have my 360 taken apart and i see someone has already used the xclamp kit on it....

  • it works but eventually breaks... no point. This console would work just over eating it the normal way. Some last for a year some last for a few weeks.

  • thx man my 360 works like a charm now for about 3mths

  • @carmelo004 is it still "goin like a charm"???

  • @Alomania85 yep it does.

but anyways, i sold it to my cousin in order to buy the new slim console.

  • forgot the dvd drive noob gonna get banned

  • Did you ever put thermal compound back on this?

  • dude i didnt even know putting it in the oven was what peiople do i did it as a joke today on a red ringed xbox i was planing on it not working as a joke and it worked

  • I tried this and It didn't work with my spare xenon mb

  • You got the heat error because the sinks were not inplace when you pluged it up!! Great fix though.

  • i have error 0022.. i think this may help.. i've already tried the xclamp fix and the heating.. however my oven is gas and i dont think i can use a gas over to this?

  • How did you decide on 500 degree heat? Most solder will melt by 400.

  • did it today, works :) !!!!

  • Well, that sucks, don't it? Ah, crap I guess I'll buy a RROD 360 form craiglist and try to fix IT.

  • Man I tried this, while no a single transistor blew up, I still get the same error. 1 red light and 1021 error code, any help?

  • From my experience I found that the 1021 or 0021 errors are mainly do to board flex. If you look at your board and see it bow, there really isn't much you can do to it other than the uni-clamp.

I had the same problem and just scrapped them.

  • @RazorSAID what he is doing is wrong, you have to place the board on top of some foil balls and place it in the oven without anything waped!

  • it only stopped working because you DID NOT HAVE THE HEAT SINKS ON

  • hey where did you get the shirt??? can i have it? :P

  • your the fucken best man thanks

  • So after you did the oven fix, have you experienced any problems with it like getting the rrod again?

  • You don't need to insulate it...

just put it on an aluminum pan, suspend it by the corners... pre heat oven to 385 and let it sit in there for 9 min (PRE HEAT OVEN) that means MAKE THE OVEN 385 B4 putting it in ...some people are stupid ;p...

This works I fixed all my friends xbox's like this... just take heat sinks off etc... no insulation needed... but cool to see some other people on the net are doing what im doing too! ;p

  • can you tell me the exact steps for your way for non insulation?

  • good stuff, i just did the same only with a blow dryer and a heat gun... you will smell the solder once you let it dry..

  • how can you stand all those stickers on your tv? weird.

  • you have no heat sink thats why it went strait to 2 lights RROD

  • I tried this and it didn't work for me. I had the 0102. Although I only left it in for 7 min instead of 9 because it smelled like a toxic dump and was smoking like shit. It turned out to just be the electrical tape, so i'm gonna go but some alluminum tape and try it again.

Thanks for the vid, I've been looking for a detailed oven fix vid for some time :)

  • you are THE man!!!!

worked like a charm cheers pal

  • Glad it worked for you. Check out my other videos to add extra rotection to your box to make it work longer. Trust me, you want some of the other fixes to make it last.

    Glad it helped :)

  • cheers mate im gonna give it a go

dont think i would have till i seen this i will report back and tell you all if it works

  • You put the motherbaord on a carpet rug....

Suprised you didnt short the the board.

  • It's rare to do that. I made sure that the area was discharged ;)

  • It would all be a waste of time if you didn't do an x-clamp fix. It would also help to get a 12v fan.

  • if the xbox is anything like a pc you shouldn't turn it on without a heatsink and thermal paste or will blow the processors.

  • dont have to worry about that with the 360s processors

  • man! thank you so much i did it and it worked!!! i try a heat gun, the xclamp, over heat it it self, and i thoug it was dead!!! i did it in a gas oven with a oven thermometer, and with no aluminium tape just the towels and the t shirts and hiuge pices of aluminium foil, 500 º for 9 min. i will see for how long it works... thank you verry much!!!

sorry for my english if a made any mistakes...

  • I've been keeping a comprehensive data sheet with every box that I bake. I will be posting another video in a few weeks with extra tips and new ways to keep your xbox running longer without any worries. Glad to hear that this video has helped you :)

  • you know im so desperate to fix my 360 im actually considering doing this

  • omg you put ur 360 in the oven?! lmao

  • Yes, yes I did
