I've seen you practice so many styles.. so tell me.. Wich one do you think is most practifull of them? wich one is your natural reaction in a situation, and tell me dont you get confuses with all tehnics, or? I know that you studied tai chi and Wing chun and this, but wich one do you feel is most pracitufull for you?
@shiifu My street fighting skill was developed between 1981 and 1991 before I started training Wing chun, taijiquan, Shaolin etc. Since I started these styles I never had a serious physical fight on the street so it's difficult to say which technique is most practical. When sparring I can stick to one style or I can flow between styles. The energy I receive from my opponent determines which technique I use. I never get confused because I drill each technique until it becomes part of me.
@jefjays Well said! Im glad that you have this ability to transform and be shapless and formless. As I mentioned before, you are a very inspiring person. I wish you The best Luck with the tao you've chosed to walk // Shifu M.
@shiifu I found Taijiquan theory very helpful on the street. I was able to use the idea of being soft but still having energy to overcome an opponent who was being tough and by doing so I was able to avoid some potentially serious physical combat situations. Another time 2 guy threatened me. 1 had a gun the other had a knife. That time I used a slightly more aggressive ( shaolin) method to talk the situation down and it worked very well. Those guys became friends of mine! this is my experience.
Its part of a shaolin temple form called wu xing ba fa quan (5 element 8 direction fist). Glad you like it!!! Still researching its origins so if anybody out there knows this form please post your version or get in touch with any background info. Happy new year training in 2007.

Fine form. I see, that relaxing-praxis is also an important point in Your Shaolin. Follow this way.
