@SOVIETTACO You can get along easily with free programs, even windows movie maker can look good if you download some new effects and don't use default ones, also don't use transitions it looks really unprofessional. And if you have a mac iMovie is really good for a free program. But if you want to buy you should get Sony's Vegas Movie Studio HD 9 for 50 dollars, and version 10 for 100. Or you could get the professional vegas for 500 dollars.

@SOVIETTACO Is processing you mean it lags while editing than that's just your pc. You will have those same issues with all those programs aswell. You will have more ways to get around those issues such as ram previewing and pre rendering so you will have to get used to a new workflow unless you want to cash out the money for a new pc.

@New1World1Production, no it does not process/render in true HD, it's all types of jacked up. I use windows movie maker and it is known for having issues with that. Not too keen on updates when I can just get a better program all around.

@yolovema No, as with any suction cup, it is not possible to get a reliable mount while filming in water. For that reason, we make the Surf HERO base plate. That is how this was mounted.

@sony561 you can always remove the camera from the mount and use it on another mount. If you need to remove the mount, you will have to use a blow-dryer or something similar to soften the adhesive. It can be removed, but not reused.

Been using Go Pro surf hero for six months successfully, then took it to Indonesia into some bigger waves and it got totally pushed out of the mounting. Gone, never to be seen again along with two weeks of unreal footage. Not happy.

@MegaBlueday .. Its happened to me already too, learned by error more than trial. I just did a shoot at Cloudbreak and changed out cameras every 5 clips shot, just so we didn't loose the money shot!..Look for Jon Roseman on a camera board and with a helmet mounted GoPro HD in some shacks. At least get an external hard drive, almost everyone has a lap top you can use to view the footage on and transfer it over..

@HodgsonHawaii Oh, I've got 3 external hard drives, but when you are staying in a loseman on the coast of Java where there is hardly any electricity and can't recharge batteries etc. it makes it just a little complicated. But was worth the surf. Yeah I've got a Go Pro helmet cam too, as well as two underwater housings for my hd cam corder but the reefs were too big and water too shallow. Is great to go looking for those new surf breaks in other places, no crowds, just jungles to contend with.

@MegaBlueday ..another thing to consider is just taking more charged batteries. Fortunately you can have a batch of charged batteries if you are on a no electricity options. That means you need to be very careful with the laptop battery too so you can download and back up. Nothing worse that being somewhere that you cannot back up your best stuff. Back up cards and the mini pelican cases for them now are another good idea for jungle style surf missions.
