his death is actually pretty sad becasue his body and his legacy just fade away, into oblivion, i think this end was a little more fitting becasue voldemort literally dissolves into nothing, everything he stood for, his dark legacy, his triumphs just fade into memory and nothing.

@Mirinovic Yes, the film changed the story from the moment Neville drew the sword from the hat. In the book it says Voldemort puts the sorting hat on his head then sets it alight. Neville breaks free of the curse, draws the sword from the hat and kills the snake... Harry goes under the cloak and runs around Hogwarts for a bit, then reveals himself to Voldemort in THE GREAT HALL, they talk for a bit, then finally both try and curse eachother only for Voldemorts curse to rebound and kill him.

@R0bski I was looking forward to that scene. Voldemort putting the Hat on Neville and making him unable to move, setting it on fire on his head, then overcoming it, throws it off his head, the sword appears, he slashes it, the snake's head goes flying through the air, the battle resumes!

Then in the film, Neville gets knocked out, wakes up, picks up the sword, does a ninja-jump through the air and makes the snake turn into smoke. Was a slight letdown :P
