No the comp is called the Big Ben Challenge, n if Big Ben was alive now he would be to old to compete in this anyway he was born in April 20th 1976 he would be lik 30 yrs old, (correct me if i am wrong plz but i didnt pass maths so) n most horses like retire at like 16-19yrs old (Shutterfly, Meridith Michales Beerbaums horse is 19 n still competing but slowing down so) yeh i doubt this would be Big Ben
Big ben did not take the bit like that and did not run at the fences that much ,like i know they need to have power in the hind but come on he had more control then that..... :)
i loved big ben! it's sad that he was gelded and didn't have any offspring to carry on his legacy. ian miller's a great horse trainer to have trained such a superstar stallion!
there the best of riders. Just because they dont have perfect form over huge jumps dosent mean anything. most ppl dont. and you ov dont.. so shutup. try doing that . you would suck shit and land straight on your face.
but people who say that big jumpers suck , need too look at there facts. Because they really dont. Theres like 4 in a million chance when your jumping that high your leg is going to stay at the stirrup.
Most showjumping riders are extremtely good riders, take john whittiker for example however, at my stables I see many riders who just ride huge showjumpers with heaps of talent yet they don't even know how to hold themeselves properly over jumps. It really annoys me that they only do well because their horse is bold, can jump well and ignore the fact their riders are jamming them in the mouth just to stay upright. :D

That's not Big Ben. However, the rider rides just like Peter Wylde does?

SHITTY!
That last jump was so close,
if he was able to pull him back
the slightest bit, it would have been cleareeddd. ugh. its so intense watching
people jump at this level, you see the horse
speeding up and it almost makes your heart stop.

sorry to break it to you but anyone who wants to ride at this level has to be somewhat good.
