  • No the comp is called the Big Ben Challenge, n if Big Ben was alive now he would be to old to compete in this anyway he was born in April 20th 1976 he would be lik 30 yrs old, (correct me if i am wrong plz but i didnt pass maths so) n most horses like retire at like 16-19yrs old (Shutterfly, Meridith Michales Beerbaums horse is 19 n still competing but slowing down so) yeh i doubt this would be Big Ben

  • big ben dies in 1999 wtf?!?!?!?!?!?!

  • Big ben did not take the bit like that and did not run at the fences that much ,like i know they need to have power in the hind but come on he had more control then that..... :)

  • I am going to take a guess that the blue jacket is American....if so that may be Mclain Ward

  • That's not Big Ben. However, the rider rides just like Peter Wylde does?

    BDHJ

  • That is not Big Ben if this is 2006 video.

  • i loved big ben! it's sad that he was gelded and didn't have any offspring to carry on his legacy. ian miller's a great horse trainer to have trained such a superstar stallion!

  • Who is it? I know that it's not Hickstead(This is a chestnut, Hickstead isn't).

    So tell us.

  • SHITTY!

That last jump was so close,

if he was able to pull him back

the slightest bit, it would have been cleareeddd. ugh. its so intense watching

people jump at this level, you see the horse

speeding up and it almost makes your heart stop.

  • he can't ride, but his horse is really good! but very strong thou.

  • sorry to break it to you but anyone who wants to ride at this level has to be somewhat good.

  • A lot of the big jumpers aren't very good riders.

  • are you stupid?

there the best of riders. Just because they dont have perfect form over huge jumps dosent mean anything. most ppl dont. and you ov dont.. so shutup. try doing that . you would suck shit and land straight on your face.

  • i soo agree!! ive only jumped a meter and i nearly get knocked down!!!!

  • Ya !

but people who say that big jumpers suck , need too look at there facts. Because they really dont. Theres like 4 in a million chance when your jumping that high your leg is going to stay at the stirrup.

  • Most showjumping riders are extremtely good riders, take john whittiker for example however, at my stables I see many riders who just ride huge showjumpers with heaps of talent yet they don't even know how to hold themeselves properly over jumps. It really annoys me that they only do well because their horse is bold, can jump well and ignore the fact their riders are jamming them in the mouth just to stay upright. :D

  • @tulipxxpony So true.

  • is this at the royal winter fair?

  • thats so scary when they speed up alot before the jump for me lol.

  • Thats me!!

  • It looked like Big Ben was struggling against the bit...

  • thats not Big Ben. thats just the name of the show. i don't remember what horse this is

  • Like with a lot of jumpers...

the horse is probably just a bit hot.

  • lol!

    big ben is dead..

    R.I.P :(

  • Omg Those jumps were HUGE! That horse did a really good job.
