  • exelent version of "Im bad", the best version

  • what's the first song

  • Is the ES6 a good keyboard to play DM?

  • bert smorenbuurg is an embarassment to humans - fking geek

  • I have a motif and you can load samples from actually sounds into the motif from sample function and then there is an isolate vocal cancel effect.

by the way motif will due 1 gig of sampling. I use a mpd24 and assign midi cc controllers to perform live real time controls.

  • Most music mush beats beat to is trash, mostly beats with slight changes in syncopation.

But, I have an ES 8 and it does a pretty nice job with new age and semi-classical.

    The strings are especailly great.

    Formula music sucks

  • wahts formula music?

  • Yamaha can't produce the cheap sample of the beach boys piano :-):-) Bert you are the bes.

  • Thank you for playing BAD :D

    Michael forever!

  • How did he play the Beach Boys? How did he isolate the vocals like that?

  • He probably the original vocal track. There is no technology that can isolate vocals this well.

  • OMG, that Madonna frozen acapella sample, I wanna have it :)

    This sounds freakin' amazing

  • what is the name of the Beach Boys song that he plays in Motif?

  • i wish they all could be CALIFORNIA GIRLS!!!

  • it's not just the synth, the guy is gifted.the way he plays,he could make a 75 dollars piano sound like an expensive one.

  • Bert Smorenburg is fucking excellent at programming and controlling a synthesizer. To back that, he also has the competency to actually play them. Bert would wipe the floor with these talentless dicks, because all they can do is throw a few samples together.

  • yeah lol,i think he could be something like a legend but he just doesn't like to be a producer man that sucks.

  • he is just a player, performer.i think he doesn't have the time to compose-record his own songs with all this running around places and performing-showing his motif keyboard.this is his job.not all musicians can compose-produce, as not all people who know how to write are writers.Creation is a separate talent from music knowledge.

  • hi mate,I'm just saying that he can achieve big things,i can see he has an incredible creative mind so with such a mind you can create big hits,he just needs to listen to few tracks and the next moment he will become a legend producer,i don't think he can do much things on rnb hip hop,but he can make a revolution on pop and pop rock, anyway it depends from his love towards music production if he don't wanna do that than it's his choice,we all have the free will to do what we want the most

    peace

  • maybe we need a bit of FFFFFFXXXXXX....lol love that line.

  • how boring was the audience!!!

  • "We don't make these cheap pianos. This is a sample. From Casio."

    LMAO!

  • ROFL! XD

  • oh my god mr. smorenburg! Should i buy you or the motif

  • Bert you're fantastic!!! LOL

  • Oh yeah... I was there!!! It was last year.

Yesterday I was again in the Yamaha meeting!

  • Lol... me too, but I didn't make a video like this.

  • That Maddona's song that he played: were the drums from Motif ES ? what Kit?

  • This man make me hate any synth..

  • What madonna song is that?

    It's fricken cool.

  • It's Frozen (99 - 00 hit)

  • because trance sux...

    get ur djs

  • He does. Just look at one of the Motif XS demos.

  • Oops... this comment was a reply to

    "danenhod". YouTube has bugs :P

  • because trance sucks

  • maybe we need a bit of FFFFFFXXXXXX....lol love that line.

  • you want a little piano. let me find a little nice piano with some FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFXXXXXXXXXXX! Bert is Great the axe is great. 5 stars!

  • 5stars...he's good

  • The part where Bert plays that solo part of Madonna's song is AMAZING.

  • Bert for president.

  • Prince 1999

  • anyone know the first song name?

  • You can think about him whatever you want but he's a good entertainer.

  • He's the owner of a big studio in the Netherlands. That's how. Good luck.

  • the motif has internal sampling, which probably means that bert imported the acapellas of the songs into the motif.

  • I wonder if we can use the RAM from our old computers for the internal sampling

  • he's great

  • the beach boys made me get goosebumps!!!

  • Fine, the Motif can play current music but what about the future sounds???

  • SAMPLES MY FRIEND

  • When the future is here, we'll also have a future Yamaha present with us...

  • they pay good coin for the studio vocals i'd assume. so they can use them in these demo's

  • "it's a sample from casio"

    lol!

  • Absoloutly no Idea.

I would like to know aswel!!

  • I saw this guy at the opening from Tonika Music in Groningen, Netherlands. He's probably even funny as Hans Liberg :D Quote (from honkytonk-piano): "in Yamaha pianos are no bad piano sounds, so we sample them, from Roland" :P

  • Haha, here he said the same, but "from Casio" :-)

  • He is absolutely hilarious! Two thumbs up!

  • and the Motif XS8. ????

  • This guy made me buy a new yamaha Keyboard.

Not the Motif (sorry, not enough money, but the little brother, MO6.

He's simply very, very enthusiastic and persuasive.

Forget about sales and marketing department, hire him!

  • Lol... he was very funny indeed. He demonstrated the MM6 as well, I suppose that's the new brother for the MO6.

I wonder... would this guy do weddings as well? :-p

  • yeah, he made me buy the MOTIF ES
