And you know they say that wasn't the first time he hit her. It's a mindset, it's not easy to just change, it's not easy for him to really see it... he needs counseling. I got out of a relationship right before it got to a point like that, and during it, the guy told me he had witnessed his mom getting beat up a lot by different men.

@951adg06 yea my family has dealt with generational curses alcoholism and domestic fighting(serious fighting/shooting every weekend), but to God be the Glory my father broke the cycle. He got saved @ 18 and was the ONLY one in the entire family who was a Christian @ that time but he ministered to my family and my grandma accepted Christ and is now a preacher and the majority of my family is now saved. So God can and will make a change! Never ever laid a hand on my mother or picked up a bottle.
