  • Very smart technique, i love both of these programs. Great tutorial too

  • how do you save it as a jpeg image? anything i try to open from google sketchup to photoshop doesn't even work, i can only open up skp files which won't work on photoshop anyway. best bet really is JPEG which you have opened. How do you save them as JPEG files? Thanks

  • That was awesome...

  • Great tutorial. Thank you!

Using black fog to create a depth map in Sketchup is a stroke of genius.

  • I was wondering how to get my DOF out of sketchup, and your tutorial teached me that, and a cool trick in photoshop as a bonus. Thank you :)

  • this is really cool

  • lol, i wanna do that but i don't have sketchup, just photoshop

  • @thetwinswebshow sketchup is free

  • i just want to know if it has virusus

  • no dude, it is publish by google. they are a huge company with a reputation to keep. no viruses.

just steer clear of pirated copies and you will be fine.

  • AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA this program is a prodigy

  • great tutorial and so is the effect. why adding a mask to the coloured layer when it is disabled anyway. the mask didn't do a thing to the look of the final picture so maybe thats why. we want more of these tutorials though.

  • This tutorial is great but it's even pretty hard to understand...

  • Nice!

  • which version of photoshop is this?

mine is 7.0.1 but doesn't have "lens blur".

  • This was shot in CS3, I think lens blur was added in CS2, so Photoshop 7 probably doesn't have that filter. Bummer.

  • Looks great! But will SketchUp export images with anti-aliasing? Because the lines look a little jaggy.

  • SketchUp will export with anti-aliasing, the lines probably don't look as good in the video.

  • very cool!

  • Great video, result looks amazing. And great model J-m@n, very good detail!
