  • @HailDaFins I'm nearly twice your age, and I get the same thing. Welcome to the club.

  • it is perry como as i was listening to his 12" 40 greatest hits :)

  • Great song sung by a great singer, the words are beautiful.

  • I am soooo proud to have his discography!!!

  • Voice of Perry, Picture of Frank!

  • Voice of Perry, Picture of Frank!

  • Como is singing, Sinatra is on the picture

  • i hope

  • I knew Gabe Caudillo, he sounded just like him

  • I can read, and know a beautiful song when I hear it

  • Beautiful song by Perry Como, reminds me of well..........

  • Lovely song by Perry Como, reminds me of ......... well, yesterday in a haze of perhaps beautiful memories.

  • frank lol nice though

  • This is Perry Como. I know things.

  • hello frank

  • @Lydianification No! buddy its perry!

  • .....why don't you PLEASE amend to...PERRY COMO...please

  • this is the best version of this song i've heard. He actually sang the way it seems this song should be sung...softly...

  • perry como has a striking resemblance to frank

  • @dvargashell hahahahahaha

  • Magnificent.....

  • This is really tragic. I know a lot of Frankie fans don't mind as much as I do, but I really want to see Perry Como pictures here. I used to watch his show on TV when I was a little kid, he was my favorite singer. Perry Como had one of the smoothest voices I ever heard, and it wasn't too overblown or phony and operatic. I like the easy going sound he had. PLEASE GIVE PERRY COMO his due Credit. I am actually tired of Sinatra.

  • It's obvious what's happened. The person downloaded the song online and it was falsely labeled as being sung by Sinatra. This is very common and only true fans of the singers can tell the difference. I've even seen a recording of "Der Hölle Rache" labeled as sung by Maria Callas!

  • @VinylToVideo

You're right, the person who first heard this ASSUMED it was Frank Sinatra, and therefore stuck his name on it.

It is most definately Perry Como. I know, I own the album from which it came, "And I Love You So" also featuring the title track.

  • Sinatra didnt have the voice to carry off a song like this. He was great so great but all vocalist have their limitations. OMG where are all the Como's - Sinatras- Martino's

Crosby and on and ... Where have all the singers gone, gone to grave yards everyone

So sad that this beautiful music no longer exists.

  • Please all you people coming in here and spewing your political hate stop it . This is not the venue if you even no what that means. This is a nice man singing a great song...not spewing a perticular political bent.

  • Ok sorry about the idiot comment...it appears it is I that is the idiot not you guys..thanks for the update....I like it anyway..cheers...and happy new year 2011

  • come on even morons knows this is Franks picture, and Como singing, not cool posting this is so stupid.

  • I had no idea that Perry Como had such a close resemblance to Frank Sinatra. Were they twins? I'd like it better if he stuck with the original gender and didn't change the words.

  • Poque ponen a Frank Sinatra si el que canta en esta cación es PERRY COMO de su album And I Love You So en 1975.

  • It's not Frank, so take the pic of Frank Off, you Tool!!

good song by the way n00blit

    hahahahahah fayullllll!

  • It's not Frank, so take the pic of Frank Off, you Tool!!

  • Heard the Liberman version for the first time about 10 minutes ago.

It's now my favourite version, by a mile.

  • perry looks uncannily like frank

  • The best version is from Roberta Flack... u_u

  • @ladislauns

Well Roberta Flack's is good, but the best version to me is the original by Lori Lieberman. According to the second hand songs website, this version ALSO predated Roberta's. Listen to Lori's original. It packs a WALLOP! She was just a teenager when she did it, but you'd never know by that mature voice of hers!

  • @cmulwee001 Whoa! Thank you very much for the information! ^_^ I'll check it out!

  • @ladislauns

You're welcome. And let me know when you've had time to listen to Liberman's original version. What you want is her original 1971 (or is it '72?) version.

She has since re-recorded the song twice, in 1996 and again in 2009.

  • @cmulwee001 Checked it. Cool. But I think I enjoy more listening to Roberta Flack's version. But that's a case I prefer do not judge which one is better. ^_^ I think I just "don't have the packet" for it.

  • @ladislauns

Well I would have to say that both(or if you count Perry's version all three) renditions have their merit. Lori's original has much depth and emotion and has a haunting kind of feel to it. Roberta Flack's famous cover version has that so called "big wall of sound" that was characteristic of '60's and '70'ssmooth R&B and soul.

Perry's has a similar arrangement to Lori's and his baritone voice works quite well for this song.

  • wow there are like 5 videos that say Perry Como song that have a picture of Frank Sinatra instead of Perry, this is one of them, these guys best get their vocalists right :P

  • Perry Como is one of the all time greats----as good as they come.

As a person as Perry was I dont think he would be thrilled if a picture of Frank Sinatra was posed on a Perry tune-----being that it is can the poster of this video please post my way with a picture of Perry.

  • Perry Como had the most amazing voice. I know that a lot of people say that he took his style from Crosby, and Sinatra-but as great as they were, he was better. He is missed.

  • Thanks for sharing .

  • Perry came to this world first. I am sure Frank was inspired by him as well as Bing.

They were and fortunately are (recordings) still all in the greatest ever category. It then becomes taste of a particular singer of a particular song and or feeling for one of those greatest artists. All were off the charts. Perry for me if I had to listen to only one for the rest of my life. (i would then be missing out tremendously if I could not hear Frank, Bing, Dean , Sammy, Jerry Vale and on)

    Thanks

  • @anongoingseries13 I am such a fan of Perry-Frank Sinatra was really good, as was all the so called crooners (Crosby)-and I liked them. But Perry Como was so my favorite, and to this day, I miss him.

  • Frank Sinatra showing his mug here. Correct this !!!!!

  • уныло

  • es un video maravilloso me tranporta a mi lindo pasado de juventud me llena de enerjia y de amor para seguir en esta vida llena de tropiesos mmmmm

  • photo shown was that of frank sinatra...the song being played was sung by perry como...both singers were incredibly great though...

  • I was sure that Frank Sinatra sang this song, until i saw that video.

  • alguien tiene a PERRY COMO en español

  • Can you remove the photo of Frank Sinatra and put a good one of Perry Como...Please?

  • hehe i love frank sinatra

  • PERRY for sure BOTH great singers but frank was a bit of a douche in real life, when he and sammy davis came to Australia old blue eyes cancelled the tour and refused to play just because one of his best friends was getting more applause down in Australia . . . what a douche

  • Dude, this is Perry for goodness sake! Not being offensive but Perry is a lot better and much more handsome than Frank.

  • Uhm, This isn't Frank Sinatra, so why is there a picture? Also, this song is boring. Nobody does this better than Roberta Flack. It's about Don McLean.

  • @Lainer1

It sounds to me like this version is based not on Roberta Flack's cover version, but on the ORIGINAL folk song by Lori Lieberman. Lori did it first, and it was her, not Roberta who had the experience of seeing Don Mclean.

  • I don,t think frank ever recorded this song ,and even he could not have been better than PERRY COMO,surperb singer and a gentleman

  • Tenia miles de dias de no escuchar a Perry Como me dirijo hasta las nubes y tengo lindisimos recuerdos de mi casa , mis padres mi vida de jovencita que siempre llevare en mi corazón

  • It's Perry.

  • this is perry without a doubt ........smoother voice and better in my opinion from frank but just me expressin that view need to make up your own minds .......

  • Very cheap.. Putting Sinatra's face on this to get more hits.. idiot!

  • this is perry como with the face of cranky frankie I like them both two great singers

  • Awesome!

  • temas como este y clase como la del interprete ya no existen hoy en día. Ahora Estopa, Andy y Lucas y Melendi son el paradigma. Triste.

  • this is perry como without a doubt........

  • the pictures are obviously sinatra and the singing is perry como most definitely

  • @HisSoc Yup

    katia montenegro

  • Looks like someone made a little mistake here,it's obvious that's not Perry Como everyone can see it's 'Dean Martin'. OK Seriously that's Frank Sinatra.

  • I could tell based on the thumbnail image that that was a picture or franky and not como.

I guess it's a small price to pay to listen to the best singer in history :)

  • I love Frank Como! lol

  • it's so sesy

  • Look IT IS PERRY...NO DOUBT AT ALL...

  • Si sabe a whisky, señores! salud!

  • Nice song -wrong picture-younger people will think this is Perry Como!

  • You are right the picture is from Frank Sinatra.

  • i knew straight away,, why say that it is perry como when it isn't? is what i want to know haha

  • @TheFriendlyenemies lol thats not true i m 21 and I knew from the start it was Frank not Perry lol

  • i'm quite young, and i know that it's frank. don't make assumptions now. great voice on perry commo though.

  • I love this song... I sing it better than most of you.. But I am too old...

  • Now it's Number Two.

  • Calling Robert Flack, please!

  • ペリーコモが歌っているのになぜフランクシナトラの画像なんだろ?

Though Perry Como sings, why is it an image of Frank Sinatra?

  • Yeah, why is there a pic of Mr. Sinatra? I don't get it.... How about Como? I love Sinatra, but this is false advertising.

  • No offense to Frank but please replace the picture with Perry

  • This is definitely Frank singing, all you need to do is change the label....my mum has tons of Perry Como and Frank albums so I know the difference you idiot....this is FRANK...not PERRY....

  • @julianne951

Also, Frank never recorded this song, based on the info that I've seen on "Second Hand Songs".

Perry Como was probably the third artist to record the song. The first two were Lori Lieberman and Anne Murray.

Of course it was Roberta Flack who had the monster hit with the song, and she did a good job. However, I prefer the earlier versions like this one by Mr. C, the Lieberman original, and the similarly arranged (to Lori's) version by Anne Murray

    recording

  • Comment removed

  • @julianne951 Sorry Julianne, but this is Perry Como singing. Both were fantastic singers, but this totally sounds like Como, not Sinatra.

  • @julianne951 It is Mr.Como,not Frank

  • wow great voice, 5 star

  • The picture is of Frank Sinatra but the singer is Perry Como.

  • In my Top Five for the past Fifty Years..

  • mum been dead since 1984 sept 28th, she loved perry i think i got it off her, my dad still alive hates perry but not to the degree of killing, but my mum loved him.............now i know after 40 odd years, bloody hell why are reles.. more honest with the kids, i understand mum more now more than ever....buggers.

  • this is perry como not frank sinatra i often wonder how frank would have done it beautiful song perry does it very well.

  • frankkenzie perry come is singing I know the diff in coma and sinatra voice totally diff

  • Frank never recorded this song unfortuneatley, if he sang it if was like many others just in concert, for example, Elton Johns, sorry is the hardest word, London Paladium 1977 and Eric Carmens hit, All by my self, the Chairman of the Board did it his way!

  • great tune by the great Como, if Frank had done this tune he would have put his own great stamp on it, these two singers made the best sounds of the 20th century.

  • Comment removed

  • you do realise that thats a picture of frank sinatra

  • I'm with Tonorad. Not only does Perry have a better voice, he is lots better looking than Francis A.

  • What's with the pic and intro of Sinatra?! DUH.

  • Roberta Flack sang the original, after seeing Don McClean sing it. Allegedly the words rang very true for her !!! Great song

  • No the original was a folk song by Lori Lieberman(a beautiful blonde blue eyed folk-pop singer songwriter). It was Lieberman, not Flack who saw Don McLean, and wrote her thoughts as a poem. You should check out Lori's original version, her voice is angelic.

Lori was supposedly still in her teens when she recorded it

  • I am impressed! There are millions of poems that are Great but never make it as songs but this True Great was one....

  • Lovely version of the song, I prefer John holts version myself but all good listening.

  • I heard she sang a good song, I heard she had a style. And so I came to see her to listen for a while. And there she was this young girl, a stranger to my eyes. Strumming my pain with her fingers Singing my life with her words Killing me softly with her song killing me softly with her song Telling my whole life with her words Killing me softly with her song I
  • mare mare cintaret !!!!!

  • Man, some really harsh response over the picture mixup, me included. Lol's. Sorry kssenor, this is an awesome version of this song by Mr. C.

  • That's Frank Sinatra in the picture, by the way. Perry Como is singing. Hellooooooo??

  • Lovely voice and song by one of the great all-time masters.

    Thanks for posting it kssenor.

    Shaun Dennis-Medium.

  • i really like this song, im just in my early 20's, but i love this song! it can help me relax when i listen to this

  • nice...sounds very different from the type of songs he usually sings

  • Without Perry Como, Hanukah just isn't the same!

  • the song is by perry como the title is right the pic is frank sinatra.

  • Another great crooner I grew up with. I love this song, and all his music. He always sang like he was in his own living room singing to his wife. I will always miss his him. Such beautiful music.

    Thanks for the presentation.

  • Why Perry Como in the title???

  • What a very nice version of this song. The background music is very pretty too. Nice arrangement. I like it.

  • you're right about Como but Frank was no thug....given his background...his childhood etc. he was and still is, a legend who overcame adversity. I genuinely love them both for their music.

  • @grahambbb "I suppose you lived in their neighborhood? When will you people stop reading politics? I don't suppose you believe Barack Obama is an Ilegal Alien??? Well there is more truth in that, than any of the shit from/in the sixties. There is no USSR to cloud your vision, so why so blind??"

  • @Grifiki

Sir, will you kindly remove your comment? It is SPAM! it has NO relevance to the video or song. That is what we are here to talk about. If you want to talk about Obama or USSR,please do it on the appropriate video and DON"T post it here? Not trying to be rude, just making a point. We are here to talk about the SONG and nothing else.

  • thats ol blue eyes?/

  • This is so beautiful.

  • but the picture is just wrong. That's not Perry Como.

  • You are correct. That is a picture of Frank Sinatra. I love Perry Como. Christmas isn't Christmas without him.

  • Look for PERRYS STATUE By searching CANONSBURG Pennsylvania

  • Perry Como is from my hometown, Canonsburg Pennsylvania!

  • Comment removed

  • for my real life Degobah Luke xxx

  • It's a master piece of Perry Commo. Bravo and perfect one.

  • I love this kind of music

  • OMG,I grewup listening to this version..my folks had this LP called 'and I love you so'...think it was an RCA label, some yellow and red cover, still remember!

    This song was my therapy,wow!

  • did sintra even do this song?

  • this is PERRY COMO, and he doesn't sound anything like fas, both he and sinatra had two distinctive different voices and both were at the top of the class forever

  • i much prefer perry c over frankie s!

  • Yes, CB Kelton, it IS Perry, singing at his best, as always... What a performance!

  • killing with me softly, perry como sung it like an angel

    l

  • For all of you who are confused as to who is singing Killing Me Softly This is Perry Como.

And as for as I am concerned there is no voice any better than he had. I copy his style also. I am CB Kelton...

    God Bless all of you

  • It makes no difference to me who sings. The song is the best and voce too.

  • i always thought it's Andy Williams varsion

  • take Frank's picture off..Perry sounds GREAT!

  • I am so confuse...who really sing ths songs??? Sounds like Sinatra, but I do not find "killing me softly" in his albums

  • the original artist that sings this is Roberta Flack

perry como makes the "cover" in this video

  • Actually, I believe the original artist to sing this song was Lori Lieberman.
