  • Thanks for the great vid! I just picked up my first DB last night. Now I have an idea what to start looking for. Does $150 sound like a decent price for a sickle mower? Theres one here one craigslist for that price, Id like to get it. ...And I will definitely be installing a kill switch, lol! Bravo on the aircleaner box! Thats a friggin awesome idea!

  • @utoobube z Thanks, That's a decent price But I would caution you not to Rush in... Make sure it's All There & In Working Order with No Cracks in the metal. Certain parts for them can be hard to find. Good Luck

  • those DBs are some nice tractors i bought a 1964 Sears super 600 walk behind made by David Bradley carb parts should come in the mail this week i'll make a vid of it next time i'm at my dad's

  • Great Video! I bought a DB a year ago to use on my garden. I have the Continental AU8 engine. Did fall plowing last year, used all winter plowing the driveway, disked and harrowed in the spring! I started to run a furrow this fall and the engine stopped.

Broke the connecting rod! Too bad, I really like those engines, I been searching for the part but can't find one. They are some great tools!

  • @lutetube88 Thanks, Conti. AU8 Engines are Very hard to Find, I still have one on my 1955 DB. FYI, any Tecumseh or Briggs will Bolt on your DB to keep you going until you find the AU8 your looking for , but the Briggs will NOT fit without taking the Hood Off. Good Luck

  • Thanks so much, that helped me a whole lot !

  • I see you have a 5hp Tecumseh installed, I have found another one and I have a 6hp Tecumseh to go on it, will the hood clear a 6 hp?

  • @amigatec I Can't Definitely say for sure, I have only have used 3 1/2 and 5 HP Tecumsehs.

  • Very good tutorial!

  • Excellent video and great information Dan

  • Awesome! you just solved my 25yr mystery. Before my grandpa died he gave a plow attachment, that one you have and he never told me what it's from. He told me to 'do something with it'. He had david bradley and my unkle larry took it. But i've got the plow attachment. He raised 9 kids during the great depression with that thing! It was like a family member.

  • A real all purpose machine.
