Prosecution: "OH MY GOD! The Browns HAD GUNS!! They had BIG guns and little guns, etc etc." And of course he ASSUMES that most of us are unfamiliar and SCARED of guns and that, of course, WE should ONLY expect "LAW ENFORCEMENT" to own or use guns, right?! RIGHT?!
Look, they'll do ANYTHING they can to DEMONIZE the Brown's and anyone else who stands up against tyranny.
Non-violent arrest? MY ASS!! Did you see those Camouflage GOONS they had? Gearing up for another RUBY RIDGE or WACO?!
You say,...Show me the law that says you have to pay taxes. And i say,...I dont have to show you a god dam thing except the gun im pointing at your head. So give us your money now whether you like it or not. sincerely...the I.R.S.
Even if they didn't want to "kill" the Browns it seems to me that the Browns thought so with good reason.
A Government that WON'T show us the law and then wants to jail us even when they CAN'T show "the law" is not a Government to be trusted and therefore MIGHT very well shoot you or take you to Jail. Even if the Browns had all that ammo they DIDN'T shoot anyone or kill anyone. It seems to me THEY WANTED A PEACEFUL resolution as well, but were prepared for WAR if that didn't work.
If this was really about getting the tax money, they would be free with a big assessment. Let them keep working and paying down their debt. But no: put them in jail and spend money... this is all to make the rest of us afraid. That has worked so well for so many years. Unfortunately, some of us are getting educated and angry. We are voting the old guard out and won't give up till the Constitution is restored.
I haven't seen any indication that they wanted to kill anyone. It was probably for selfish reasons they wanted no killing but I believe that's what they wanted...no deaths.
The browns were gaining national attention, although still a peaceful protest, I am in NY and I had contacted different levels of Gov and Marshalls asking about them and for the law. The longer the standoff went on the more national attention Ed and Elaine gained, Gov couldn't have that-afterall the law isn't on paper it's what they say it is.
It is my understanding Elaine was always willing to pay the taxes if they would just show her the law that compelled her to do so.
Awesome. I was keeping a close eye back when it all went down back in 06/07, but havent kept up really since. It would be great to see them walk free in victory, but i dont have high hopes for that happening.
I believe that the browns, and the people involved(that i know of) were both heroic and patriotic. They had every right to do what they did to defend their rights.
Its a true shame that this story did not get major media coverage.
They didn't want to kill him because then he would be a martyr. I feel bad for the Browns. They will spend their lives in prison - unless they miraculously got a jury that is enlightened and informed of jury nullification - for a victimless crime. Does the mail-to-jail work for them?
Or things get so bad that we have a significant weak dollar, so bad it take ridiculous amounts of money for food and energy, too many videos are out of ron paul views on the dollar if it happens people hopefully since this time it will be peoples wallets affected hell be voted in and people like the browns can be set free. This is in a ideal world though.

Because if you stand up you end up sitting next to the Browns.

Lol. Once the vans passed, his interest in talking about the weather seemed to quickly wane.

I wish them the best. They are standing up where I (and many others) remain silent.

Yeah they're all concerned about the victims firearms but it was the government people who were looking forward to killing someone that day.

I just feel that if you want to apprehend someone peacefully you don't wear camo and bring your assault rifles.

This seems like a revolutionary new, more effective form of Ridleyography

Why isn't FTL talking about this.
