Amazing. I've been listening to them over 40 years and didn't know Paul did this. They should have did a take faster with his natural voice. (I like the faster tempo but with his real voice)
Thank you for setting this up as an example of how often times "speeding up" a song messes up the pureness of it's meaning. Paul may have changed his mindthought since his 64th birthday but whether or not he has, you have honoured him and his music. Paul and George Martin were not perfect and sometimes the decisions made were, at best, questionable. Finally, i get a choice, and I quite enjoy my decision.
Interestingly, today Paul sings it in Db - indeed, he still sings the Beatles' songs in the same keys as he did all those years ago. It's really remarkable.

I'm pretty sure the original mono mix of the album offers the song in this correct tempo, or close to it.

Paul's voice sounds much more "Natural" in this one, I think I prefer this.

This is good, but I prefer the faster version.

@dmzusa when i heard the sped up version i wasnt even sure who sang it. I can tell its paul in this version. its more personal i think

It was sped up to give Paul's voice a more youthful sound.
