@shayi002 i've played guitar for a while and just trust me,keep trying to get your index finger to that string,just keep practising and eventually you will get it and after a year you will wonder " why the hell did I have problems with that cord?".It's the same thing with a bar.

Hi. i am 45 & never picked up a guitar in my life until 2 weeks ago. marty, i have found that you are the best teacher i have seen on utube, i think you a fantastic. learning so much from you. apart from not being able to get my fingers far enough apart on the first cord on this song ( any pointers ? ) i think i am doing ok. 1 thing about this lesson, i may be wrong but i didnt find the the HOW TO on this vid from 3.25 to 3.30. cheers anyway. keep it up.

just keep practicing mate. As you play more and more your fingers will get stronger along with increased flexibilty and dexterity. Just give it time and you will be able to to the stretch for when you play that lick

@avatarjeroen13 just keep working at it, took me a week of practice and stretching the fingers, key is to make sure the tip of your pinky is firmly on the right part of the string

@avatarjeroen13 It's all about where you place your thumb and how you position your wrist. If you move your thumb down behind the 'neck' you will push your wrist away from the guitar itself. By doing so, you'll have more reach. Problem solved.
