  • Can this be programed into the camera, or do I have to program it in every time?

  • may i do the same with the Olympus E450? thanks ^^

  • What is that constant noise the camera makes? Because I dont get the same sound.

Is it the Compact Flash? Or Auto Focus?

  • @loafingsmurf I think I figured it out. It came from the camera recording the video.

  • Whats the name of this song? I find it very soothing.

  • @loafingsmurf Sorry, I can't remember now!

  • can this be done to any e-500 ? I ask because i dont have any DSLR yet but was thinking of buying a used one from KEH and if i can get an e500 that goes to 3200 that would be great.

  • @fallingwatter Depends on your firmsware - the later firmware stopped this

  • @fallingwatter I can ensure You that this camera doesn't handle noise well at ISO400, so I do not even want to think about how it is at ISO3200

  • i dont see why you would even want your iso that high...anything above 500 on my e500 is too noisy.

  • What does color correction and a failing sensor have to do with learning to focus?

  • I have a 500. I dont hate it but it is less good "in camera" then most. Way too much color correction and stuff needed in PS. After only a year and a half too I got a bad section on my image sensor or something. I get a nice red stripe going through the center of each picture I take. When I do get pictures that dont need any tweaks in PS I still have to fix that anyhow. I need a new camera but am not sure if I want another Olympus.

  • I love my e-500, learn to focus dude, this camera rocks.

  • the problem may not be the camera...i get the same thing when using the xd card...all i do is eject the card from the computer and then put them on at like 3 at a time and theres no longer any corrupted pictures...im not completely sure if this is the same problem but thats what i did.

  • learn to take pictures then come back

  • Interesting. I have the E-500 and Sony A900. I find myself to use the E-500 more than the Sony. So, I don't think that E-500 is bad at all.

  • got the hang of it, love it now.

  • i have it and its great...

  • I'll take it off your hands.

  • @GoldGraffitiKing Want to sell it to me?

  • will work with the E-510?

  • whats that noise.. i dont have that... how do u do that... tried the same thing!

  • y cant i access it?

  • I think this hack was only available for a specific firmware version - they have disabled this hack on the new version (3.1)

  • I think so, I have version 1.3 and I can't get further than 0:37 in this vid....

  • Thanks for the demo. Dont believe you need the door open most of the codes you simply use the buttons. Usig the e500 on iso3200 is probably a silly idea but handy to know. Btw try setting your jpg to maximum res and use at least that and you'll get far better photos
