I had this glitch where teh husband randomly attacked the dogs, and then the wife defended her dogs by attacking her husband. I think it is a glitch that occurs when you're considered trespassing. Domestic Violence in Oblivion.

To everyone saying this bug is fake, it's actually quite legit. According to the game's code, Rimalus isn't included in the Bruiant family faction. Therefore, when something else is in his house, he attacks it thinking it's an intruder when in reality... it's his family. Someone must have hiccuped while writing some of the code to leave his NPC out of the family faction. He's lying dead on the streets in Chorral for me right now because he attacked his own dog, and the guards killed him. :P

This same type of glitch happened to me. I was sneaking into the house at night, the dogs came to greet me and he ran down the stairs attacking. Player broke in. Trespassing. After being there too long, the wife and the dogs become "hostile" (the call-the-guards kind). Player must have a high personality, which makes Rimalus want to come to his aid. This, combined with his high aggression, makes him attack the dogs. Beast tongue allies the (high personality) player with the dog, making the wife jump in. Rimalus can't get out because his faction settings are off, so he doesn't have a key. He's trapped there.

When this came out there was a developers blog that I remember reading (or at least interviews with them) talking about all the odd stuff the radiant AI would produce. They had to tone it down quite a bit for release because the NPC's in the game world were interacting in such odd ways. The best AI glitch I remember is with the corrupt police chief in the Imperial city. That one was priceless.
There is sometimes a glitch, where Rimalus will attack his wife or his dogs. I thought I did something wrong like if he tried to hit me and missed and hit the dog, I walked into the house too and I went in and already saw right when I entered three people fighting with the wife and the dogs just standing there, once they killed the wife the dogs started to kill the people and it randomly gave me a 2000 bounty... I was very confused after that lol!

I know the reason for this occurrence. All NPCs have a stat called aggression. If it is = to 0 they will never fight. If = to 5 they will never initiate a fight. If = to 6 or more they will fight if disposition is low. The higher the aggression the more they will attack. Probably as a mistake Rimalus Bruiant's aggression is 50 and he is not apart of the family faction with his wife and the dogs which is why he randomly attacks them.
According to uesp(dot)net, the reason this bug happens is because Rimalus' Aggression is 50 (it was probably meant to be 5). That means that he will attack anyone that he has a disposition towards under 45.
Really glad you didn't put that godawful windows movie maker text all over the video. It's so much better when people don't write "LOL!!11" and shit like that and just let the video play.

hmmm... is he sure the dogs are so happy there?
I broke into his house once and he did that. The dogs ran away to the field at the back of his house, I ran but he followed and he was killed by guards.
