Interesting but. No doubt the gimmick he plays is in many ways similar to who he really is outside the ring, but it's still a gimmick, one subject to change when the circumstances dictate change.
Another thing: on the face of it, it is harder to portray a face than a heel, at least since the Attitude era where vocal minorities of the wrestling audience clamor for bad-asses.
