This 1955 cycling film is pretty good with its emphasis on *driving* your bicycle. The only thing that bothers me is the door-zone bike driving demonstrated in at 3:40 and the expectation that cyclists should be able to stop if a door opens in their path.
You wouldn't drive a car in the door zone where an opening door poses only material damage to your car. So why should you drive your bike there when an opening door could be fatal?
And if only car drivers would do the same thing there wouldn't be 40,000+ people getting killed in them every year in the US. I drive a car and ride a bike, and people in cars are just as irresponsible.
OK, this is a little corny for the 21st century but it's bang on the mark with safe cycle practices. If only cyclists would observe road regulations these days.

Too many people ride bikes on the wrong side of the road a dangerous practice.
