  • kool keep up the good work

  • I love the technique of applying and blending. The Byzantines understood perspective before the renaissance.

  • I love this icon of Christ. The technique he used is from Byzantine Iconography. Great song too..

  • Mute button: we meet again.

  • You've painted a Catholic image (and a mawkish one, at that), but you did not paint an Orthodox icon.

  • What kind of paint was used here?

  • ...Look in other icons

  • Jesus Christ, that was fast! :D

  • cool, im coptic orthodox god bless

  • I absolutly love this picture. intead of him depicted black or white he is middle eastern i love it keep painting

  • That is nat byzantine picture. It realist.

  • Cesare Borgia / False Image Of The Messiah

Why Do Christians worship this man image .He's a bastard illegitimate son from Pope Alexander VI. Cesare Borgia was a murder, an a child molesting , sick twisted person . He also had an incestuous affair with his sister Lucretia. This is the man image, Christians claim is their Savior

  • @derekdb2 What an idiotic comment. Icons were being written in the Christian east since the second century and the countenance of Christ has remained unchanged.I hate it when people just make up history for the sake of simply being an asshole...and that's you.

    God bless!

  • @derekdb2 Awkward moment when icons of Jesus Christ looked like this even before the Council of Nicaea.

  • I don't think one needs "fast" painting in Orthodoxy. An icon needs to be painted in prayer and katanyxis. Also, I don't think this music is very edifying, at least not in the traditions of Orthodoxy.

  • i'm so extraordinary, n that's why i'm so unimaginary, 'what i can do' nobody else can, coz' i'm the only powerful n the most influential man!!! The God is my strength, n The Nature is my length, n i rule in my kingdom of happiness, where The God backs me up along with The Jesus..! hahahaha...

  • FYI Icons are not painted. They are writen

  • @khaled2010am Listen buddy, I'm not gonna argue. I'm gonna tell you politely: don't mess with the Orthodox Christians especially...we went through a lot defending our faith in our past. You're wasting your time. I am a Coptic Orthodox Christian...and my people are going through some crazy persecution in Egypt. We are strong and we serve an amazing God. Back off.

  • lol ,impressive! Keep it on! God bless you

post scriptum : I think it would have been better it you have used the byzantine version of kyrie eleison.

  • AMAZING!

  • Did you finish the piece with bole/gold? Looks wonderful. Thanks for the video.

  • V nice work :p and Im not even christian

  • Oh shoot, you're using wet pain! Very well done.

  • This is a beautiful and inspired portrait of Jesus. I love it. Especially the eyes. It's intriguing, the way it makes me feel like, "Yes, that's Him!"

  • Neat painting!

  • Great video. Great song. In regard to music in church worship, it is interesting to note that in the early Christian churches (prior to the 8th century) the use of the organ was banned because it was associated with the old pagan Roman circuses where it was used to accompany gladiatorial fights and the execution of thousands of Christian martyrs. Today, the organ is everywhere in western churches. In Russian, Greek and Eastern Orthodox churches its use seems to be largely a matter of choice.

  • Amen! RM + LP III+

  • Nice! what kind of paint are you using?

  • wonderfull !!

  • absolutely beautiful.

  • To bradbavarde: I respect your outlook, so I'm not writing this argumentatively. :)

Just to say, without God, there would *be* no electronics.

Just think: "For over a thousand years into the Christian era the only acceptable harmony was the octave (at least in church chant)."

    ~ Michael Hammer, (pianonoise site).

Imagine that. The harmonies of Bach's sacred works would have been considered heretical during that time! ;)

    This music praises God!

    Kyrie Eleison! :)

  • Of couse they would be - there are canons which forbide to use intruments during the services; only bells, talantons...only the human voice is worthy to praise God.

All ancient church music traditions are without intstruments and monophon - like it is still today in Holy Orthodoxy!

  • that's an awesome talent buddy...

  • Beautiful and Inspiring , God bless you

  • Christ is Risen! Indeed He is Risen!

Fabulous, I love this - what talent!

  • This art form is older than your own religion, so its unwise to say such comments as you have no knowledge of Iconography. I believe depicting God in human form is a celebration of us being made in Gods image.

this is a beautiful and inspirational painting. this art will never every die... DONE

  • What the hell is with the lyrics to this song????

  • cetnik, reci ove pesme su Gospode pomiluj i da si imalo crkven to bi vec odavno zanao

  • Before you started painting this did you start of with drawing the face? Did you just do an outline of the face or the whole picture with eyes, noses etc?

  • yes

  • beatiful work, but I thought the music was not appropriate for the piety of this spiritual exercise. The words - Ok, electronics,no

  • For many stressed-out people today, this 4:50 minutes represent the most attention they have focused on God in a long time. Consider recalling this image sometime today... Especially when you are challenged. To seek the face of God with a pure and determined heart can transform each of us. Thank you for this timely and inspiring visual time out! Peace and All Good+
