  • wow I can actually understand the lyrics, is this a cover band.

  • @kevin1cannon you can't be serious, right?

  • Here's a brief recall of Led Zeppelin's performances throughout the 10 years they played live. 1968- Bonds are solidifying. 1969- Crazy good year. 1970- Starting of their peak. Absolutely amazing year. 1971- Start of change in Plant's voice (Higher). Great year. 1972- Just amazing. 1973- Plant's vocals get rougher. Still great. 1975- Plant's vocals are rough. Good year. 1977- Dark year. Page is all fucked up. 1979- Still pretty bad. In a rut. 1980- The great comeback! LZ is back in gear!
  • do you have the recording of white summer for this show?

  • @Arturoxtei I have, although the 80's version of WS aren't all that

  • @Conneyfogle i just wanted to know because ive read that jimmy stops white summer because of the noise, i just wanted to hear that little bit.

  • @Arturoxtei I have white summer up now

  • Great sound..I have the original The Knobs bootleg 2- CD from this tour...fell in love with it in 1991 when i bought it...fun to hear this other version. Houston is the best though-- '77

  • 7:32 one of the best drum fills ive ever heard

  • Bonham seemed to drum ALOT more sparingly in 80' for some reason

  • is there any official video of this song???

  • Not really, try Knebworth or Seattle

  • I wish the 1980 soundboards didn't sound so thin.

  • eargasm

  • this is a very good performance. but just imagine if they were playing this in 1970, when they weren't always on drugs. Their early concerts are absolutely amazing.

  • Their sound just matured into eventually making compositions like Achilles Last Stand. For instance, in 1970 I don't know if Page would've figured out how to orchestrate the song the way he did for Presence several years later. Achilles Last Stand was clearly meant to be a latter day song, where as something like Dazed and Confused was meant for it's earlier Led Zeppelin days in concert. Then there's the fact that this song's inspiration came from Plant's car wreck and excursion at that time.

  • This is probably their tightest performance of this song. I like John Bonham's cooled down playing on this. Compare that to Houston 77. He's all over the place on that one (in the best way possible, that one's actually my favorite).

  • Very interesting dynamics of the way he does the lyrics. Strange and surreal, yet very addicting to the ears...

  • Orgasmic... Damned, thanks so much for this concert.

  • thanks so much for led zeppelin

  • It's like they lost it in 1979, but got it all back in 1980!

  • Yeah, they all started cleaning up. but giving up heroin caused Bonham stress which in turn caused him to drink more, leading to his premature demise

  • The beginning is hilarious.

    *four drum hits*

    *four louder drum hits*

    Robert: BA-DUP BA-DUP

    XD

  • no, no, no, sorry the one I have on cassette Is Zürich 800629 (jag märkte att det var nåt som Inte stämde det var Inte samma typ av vedergällningsiver I solot Inte I sången heller).

  • Check out tour over Europe Ive just posted it, you may find it there

  • This Is the ultimate version of Achilles ever I have this concert on cassette tape.
