man i just watched 2 gladys videos and now i read this. i was so happy about this funny lady. now its not funny to me anymore. he might be a funny dude, but we where made to believe "she" was real. this leaves me kinda disappointed

I think Gladys is funny as hell and whether it's a guy, girl or both makes no difference. Funny is Funny and if he/she isn't a comedian they should be because that is one great character that always cracks me up!!! LOVE YA GLADYS

I heard this is all a hoax, People have searched her first and last name and have gone above and beyond to try and find her in Austin tx, but there was never a Gladys hardy found in that or surrounding areas.
Oh, believe me, "she" WANTS everyone up in her business, since her business is selling hats, CDs, and other Gladys stuff. Still, I don't have a problem with that since some of the profits go towards Meals on Wheels and some animal rescue groups.

They make it pretty clear that Gladys is really a guy named Scott Hardy. He's a comedian from Austin. He's listed on Gladys' myspace as her grandson, but he's actually the voice of her character. He may have been inspired by his real grandmother, who knows? But it's him calling Ellen, not an old lady. So, yeah, check Google.

Yes, it's a guy who says he is Glady's grandson. A public radio program searched it out a couple of years ago and their report is still online at their website. (Someone linked that and I it checked out.) He seems to be known at the comedy clubs in Austin.
